Mr.Ice:
I'm afraid that the reason you're not getting the answer you seek (specific $xx,000) is because that is an impossible question to answer. This is a bunch of tech savvy folks who know the value of various components that could be put on a modded truck and would easily generate differences of many thousands of $$ plus the basic condition of the truck, mileage, lockers, no lockers, prior work etc would also make huge differences in value.
If you really must know an estimate for an Icelandic-style truck, take the value of the stock truck in equivalent condition (mileage etc) and add 1/4 of the price new of the mods (and that would be if you're lucky, the mods will make it more difficult or impossible to sell to a non-enthusiast...)

$15K in mint condition with the right buyer. See Slee's page for attempts to sell the old short bus for $20K plus. :shotts:

In the most extreme situation think in a 80 series 97-98 with 6" Slee lift .. and 37" tires or the Action Jackson 80 series with body and 40" MTR .. are a good example ..

How much you thing that jackson can sell his 80 series LAnd Cruiser with all addons that it have .. ?

Many of us in Iceland have the 4.10 but if you have 38" we usually ot ot 4.88 but sometimes we even go to 5.10 or similar if we have 44".
As for the milage these cars have around 16L/100km on 38", +/- depending on the car, driver, conditions and ect.

As for suspensoin, our cars are not woodern horses, we often use OME springs and shocks and then we relocate and build from scratch new mounts and castor towers.
Like the camo rig in one of the pictures has shocks for 14" travel....

I will include some pictures of suspension building and cars using the travel of them....

this first one has 44" tires on it......:)

just realised i forgot to write last time i read this thread , welcome.

are all the glacier-trucks made by arctic trucks or are there other companies that make parts and build cars on island (just wondering couse the pics you have post'd dont look like something ive seen from AT)

if you're going to build a truck when youre in the us the easy thing would be to buy a slee 6" kit and take some fenders down with you buy a sett off 35 to 39,5/fatt ass possible (depending on how much you cut in the fenders) tires , and you also need a part from man a free (rear link drop blocks)and your'e sorted (thats what i would do annyway)

Did Anyone else notice the High Pinion Dana 60 front in the Camo Cruiser and in this other one?

hi everybody
I just moved from Iceland to Colorado and bought myself a 80 series, gotta have one of those. Had a diesel one in Iceland, I miss it.
I wanted to get all of your opinion about Icelandic lifted and modified 80 cruisers. If I lift mine Icelandic style would you guys like it, meaning that I am only here to attend school and I would have to be able to sell it again in two years or something like that :)
Tell me what you think, should I make my new one like the one I had in Iceland ???

thanks

If you make one like the Arctic Truck, I'll buy it from you before you go back to Iceland for a fair price as long as it is in excellent condition and modified to accept up to 44" tires! :)

What fender flairs are on your old burgandy LC that you had in Iceland? Would you be able to get another set, because I would LOVE to have a set!

Thanks!

"But the 38s are to big. 37" are max for the lc diffs in rough terran with the weight etc. And you don't have enough travel for our off road terran either.

"

I disagree.
