Hey Shane,

Just looking at your fantastic craftsman ship and was wondering if you send anything to Australia. I need a new grey console leather cover and it is almost impossible to get one here. Most 80's didnt come out with the arm rest console, and recently purchased mine from the states, and the vinyl look is not that good.

Hopefully you can help out

Cheers

Michael

Land cruiser seat bottom

Looking for a used 1996 land cruiser drivers side seat bottom leather cover with no rips or tears. Tan interior. Selling vehicle, hoping someone had a used one in good shape for sale

quick question,

for the folks that chose to do the dark brown interior, was the piece on the bottom back of the front seats that wraps around a tube and attaches to the frame included also or do we reuse the old tan one? This is on an LX450 by the way, not sure if the LC has it or not. Thanks

Just wanted say thanks Shane for the awesome product. Cannot wait to get it on. Stock grey leather with black leather inserts with black stitching. Just what a plain grey and black interior needs.

Exceptional quality!! Looks great!! The upolestry shop owner went on and on about the quality of stitching and leather on this kit. He couldn't believe the quality and how affordable it was.

Thanks Shane

i'm looking to replace my tired gray leather seats with something fresh. gray, but maybe with blue center inserts - to match my "jdm style" 2 tone paint job....

shane, how does one go about specifying the additional color?

Can anybody tell me if this leather kit will work with SOR's new seat bottoms?

If not, what options exist? Dealer replacement?

No they will not, they do not have the internal wire and made specifically for their vinyl replacement covers...

I provide the OE cover,. $165 shipped.

Guess I don't know how to order, so hoping this will suffice. Will go back through thread, but so I mark my spot.

Want the LX brown front and middle row, door panels, console cover, steering wheel and shifters (if both the latter match the brown).

installed one of these kits

I see alot of Landcruiser owners coming through my Toyota service department and within the last year saw two 80 series that had these kits from Shane installed. I knew of these kits but was concerned that the quality of the leather might not be to the level of my liking. After seeing both these kits, I could see that the the leather is thick and of a good quality. the fit was impressive and attention to detail good.

So when an 80 client wanted an upgrade to his interior, I ordered a set in the tan. After recieving the kit the client had a personal issue come up and wanted to wait a few more weeks before purchasing the kit. After sitting in my office an looking it over I decided to install it in my own 80 :D. The old leather wasnt torn and was decent but it was still old looking and dry cracked (it IS Arizona afterall).

I want to show the results and give my impressions. I decided to have the kit intalled by an upholsterer (one of the two clients mentioned earlier installed his own but I elected this route).

Here are some impressions:
  • The kit fits well and is made well with strong zippers & stitching.
  • Definetly get the matching Console cover and armrests if you get the seats so they all match in color and texture. With the age of the old leather, as one would expect the new leather doesnt exactly match. The covers are very easy to install.
  • I was impressed that the rear seat covers are complete to the point that they also have new carpeting on the bottom that shows when tumbled forward (as seen in the picture).
  • The only leather remaining are the door inserts and the tone of the leather is slightly off. After some cleaning on one of them, the color lightened up and looks good (didnt realize they were even dirty but after 16 years...). Ill be doing all of them this afternoon.
  • New leather smells GOOD!
Many of us that work in the customer service field pay attention to how people deal with us when doing business. Shane was very attentive and shipped immediately upon payment. Really couldnt ask for a better guy (as most people on the forum are). He certainly has a passion for what he does.

Coincidentally, I just found out that Blues Dawg in the Local LC chapter (Copper State Cruisers) also just bought the two row set last week also.

This is an unsolicited report by no way influenced by Shane other than a good product and good service that deserves a shout out.
