I have a 91 FJ80 with the full Leather package. The front seats are worn badly.

If I understand the first post correctly.

You do not make seat replacement covers for the 91 - 93 FJ 80 series.

The front seat covers are $550 a pair if I used a 94-97 covers.

Did I read it right?

1991 Did not come factory with leather, what you have is port or dealer installed.

I do have the covers to replace cloth (which I believe yours is/was.

You don't have power seats do you? Pictures?

Thanks

No power seats.

Mine is a 1992 and even the third row seats are leather.

I have the kit, but yours came from the factory with cloth.

So the kit you would get would be leather for factory cloth replacement. I have been through this before and he thought his was factory and they were not.

What do you want to do? Both rows? 3rd row holding up ok?

The box with my new seats came via UPS today, but I was on my way out the door to work the night shift. Now I have to wait till tomorrow to see them! I got the Alcantara inserts on the DS & PS first row. I can't wait to see how it turned out

I want one too!

I recently purchased a '93 LC (gray cloth, non power) and would like to accomplish a leather conversion for the first and second rows (doesn't have 3rd row seating)... along with gathered leather door panel inserts (like the LX450), leather arm pads and a leather center console cover (mine is basically a tray).

While I am at it, I would also be interested in adding seat heaters and perhaps new cushions at the same time.

A while ago, my wife asked for a new LC (afterall, she is more of a BMW and/or Mercedes type of girl with her sunglasses and attitude on) but surprisingly, she really likes the ruggedness and styling of the FZJ80.... (the pretty little pharmaceudical rep has a dirty side) .....I think they are both "keepers".

The FZJ80 is a solid vehicle that suits my personallity and still fits in at the country club. It does need a little love, yet I won't mind throwing a little money at it from time to time...

Here's to a great start to a meaningful relationship!

That was a freakin week ago man...

I actually laid all the leather on the floor in my living room and rolled around on it :grinpimp:

I'm out of town next week, leather goes in the week after

The Alcantara is nice, and it really does keep you from sliding around.

Alex,

Is it lifted and how tall are you?

The reason I ask is I opted not to do it on mine as I cant get out without straining my back as your ass just glues to it. Meaning you can twist and slide out of Alcantara.

4" lift on 35s, and I'm 6' tall. I use the sliders to hop in anyways, I like how the Alcantara keeps me glued to the seat when driving:cheers:

Awesome seat covers, and steering wheel, and shifter, and the front and rear covers for my 40:grinpimp:

Thanks and again, thank you!

It's hard to make a comparison to how much of a difference the Alcantara makes, I had a big old fuzzy sheepskin seat cover on the driver's side before to hide the old tired leather. Plus I have a brand new seat cushion on there now, so it feels like a completely different seat.

What you need to do is make a replacement leather shift boot so I can have a cornucopia of MetricTLC leather in the 80:grinpimp:

Hop in the back seat and turn and get out and tell me what you think.

I know its like velcro, but I don't want someone getting it that has back issues and getting out strains their back like it does mine.

Jason's '97 LX450 that I put brown leather in with tan stitching.

The flash makes it look lighter, but in person I believe it is the best color for the LX

I like that. I was actually thinking about that color today while looking at my cracking drivers seat. I was wondering if there was a leather/color that would be a close match to the darker brown of the interior trim. You still have the two tone of tan trim/headliner, so it would not be a super dark interior. I would love to see some better pics showing the color, but I do get the idea!

That brown looks amazing. More pictures please!

I only had it put on the first row, rememba?

Any chumps riding in the back seat will have to ride in a lower level of style than I will:p

Yes I know, I have not sat in one with it, so my question is how sticky is it compared to the rear?
