New Guy Introduction

Hello everyone!

Billy here.. Originally from Louisiana, however been in the great Sate of Nevada for 23 years, I've raised a couple kids, still married after all these years. We all love to Wheel, and are a 4 Toyota family. I am an ARMY Vet (Abrams Tanker), and am drawing near to an end of a long LE Career. I completed the Rubicon (26th Rubithon) last year and didn't break anything (knocking on wood) in my 85 Yota Ext cab Flatbed. I'm now building an 85 4runner, which I'm hoping will be as nice as I'm anticipating. Pics to follow as I get closer to completion. I am hoping it will be done in time for this years Rubithon.
I'm here to learn new ideas from all of you, and maybe be able to help any of you where and when I can.
I am a member of several off road sites as many of you are, and I PROMISE TO USE THE SEARCH FUNCTION BEFORE I ASK.

Nice Truck ...what has been done ...looks serious ...is that a 12000lb winch or and 8000lb.

Thanks Jetson.. This ol truck and I go way back. I bought it stock in 94 and sold it (regrettably ) in 99 to a kid who pretty much trashed it, and ran it til it was dead. It was discard and left as yard art in the kid's back yard for 12 years .. it was about to be sold for scrap when I got her back in 2012. I did an engine swap 22re. (My first ever) I installed dual cases (2.28x2.28) replaced clutch and brake master cylinders, 3.5 suspension lift replaced front axle seals, and a Spartan locker in the rear with help of a buddy. Bought the flatbed from a fellow out of Carson, installed a header and got the sliders and front bumper from TG. That's a m8000 warn up front and pretty much called it good after installing some louvers and a few cans of Krylon . It has stock 4.10's and I got though the Rubicon with running cable 3 times.. twice on Cadillac. Just enough to get me ADDICTED.

Nice unit I heading the same direction on a 84 P.U....Im doing a frame up going through everything to create a tough ...hunting truck... ..probably won't go dual cases for my needs ..Flat bed ,locked rear ...Stan's header ...this is a old passion I'm rekindling ....but fun to blend my two passions....Bucks & trucks ....
