So all that said the bottom, in my opinion, is the best looking "bottom" section for an 80 I have seen. The top is where I think it is falling a bit short, especially considering how the bottom looks.[/QUOTE]

Marlin (Blindo) just joke ... you want this bumper style right?

Yup , but just want to see what else u modify on the top before ordering , i really dig the bumper part of it , the top it just doesn't represent all you've talked about , doesn't look though to match the bottom , lets see what u come up with first ;)

Its coming brother hang in there.

I see your point on the audience not being 'hardcore ' or throwing their trucks through a rock garden. But they also mention running into a deer or similar on the road.

At 50-60-70 mph, a 6 point buck is gonna serve up as much, or more impact than any 80 owner that maintains sheet metal/glass is gonna experience in a small rock garden.

Simply highlifting on a wing shows nothing, if you could attach it properly, there are places on the stock bumpers that would pass that test.

As for bolts, my top plate is bolted, my winch is bolted. My axles are bolted on and so are my seatbelts. My point wasn't bolts vs welding.

These also aren't DOT approved collision tested bumpers either. If you want that stick with the flimsy stock bumper.

Maybe not the best example, but my TJM is an ARB/expo style bumper, and you can see how the hoops come up over the lights. After seeing the simple stinger, I'm partial to that look, but it's not full protection/expedition style

And yeah , mine is a cattle guard style, like I said, not the best example, with thick ass tubes... Lol

Thats about how it will look too. I have one side done... doing the other side if I could get away from the laptop for 10 mins.

Looks like damage multiplier IMHO

I agree to a point..I'll be running the low pro version personally. I just like the way it looks better. The people have spoken and they want the tall cow pusher so that's what I'm doing.

EDIT ** gonna change the angles of the head light protection... BBL..

Here is a picture of some options for crossbars to create the expo look. Enjoy seeing the growing thread and am anxious to see your completed product.

Don't do the bend in the small bar. If you do that bar, just go straight across.

I got rid of the small bar... didnt look right. The bends didnt match. This seems to flow a little better than straight across.

**Oh and for the haters this just happens to be a customers bumper.. actually 3 customers bumpers. Carry on. **

Are you shooting for art contest?

It def would be a good idea to take a break from posting, make the bumpers on order, tighten up the design, fire out the big reveal after a few days... Too much interaction is going to lose control as a professional vendor. As a caterer, if I let my customers feel like they can create the menus, I end up making food that I know isn't my style and presference. It's a fine line, because you want to "sell" the product, too... Good stuff so far!
