It def would be a good idea to take a break from posting, make the bumpers on order, tighten up the design, fire out the big reveal after a few days... Too much interaction is going to lose control as a professional vendor. As a caterer, if I let my customers feel like they can create the menus, I end up making food that I know isn't my style and presference. It's a fine line, because you want to "sell" the product, too... Good stuff so far!

I think people don't realize that some of us have already ordered an 'expo' bumper. Personally I did it on spec based on the early version. So this thread is addressing bumpers on order.

Don't do the bend in the small bar. If you do that bar, just go straight across.

straight across rather than curving it down to the top plate of the bumper (like the 'red bumper' that @Azca did up in paint most recently re-posted by @scottryana )

I do like the new curve to match the bumper/body lines.

When the lights are on does the beams get interrupted by the bar? It looks low but if the lights are fine that should work.

No not as far as I can tell. I checked em tonight and it looked great to me. I will probably add a small piece of pipe across the bar ends to help give them more strength. Thinking of adding a plate across the front of the winch tying it to the piece I made for the top and wings. Additional gussets will be used in the winch plate area as well to help shore it up even farther. Taking a day off tomorrow and spending it with the family. Need to recharge my batteries.
Hope you guys like this bumper as much as I do. I think its the best one to date.

Thanks for your continued support.

Jason

The curvier version hits the spot...... Are you planning on option for riding or other flush mount fogs in the outer wings ?

For a skid plate there might be some gain to a small version that would protect the paperclip and steering stabilizer but not impede airflow so it'll need to be punched Duiser tried one but it only really works with an arb and could be integrated we'll into this design .....

Nice work !

Meant rigid. Not riding related to lights....

Put a slight bend in the side hoop. I think I like this the best.

Corner matches corner... all planned.. not.

Bumper looks good man. I like the first two options personally, but may I make a suggestion? Where it meets the bumper, give it a little flare like the ARB. That's what I like the most about the ARB Vs others.

Yes sir, lights will be an option. Customer will have to let me know what light they plan on running and I can buy the light and add it to the bumper build out.

Skid plate will be small, and it will be an additional option for the customer to choice to add.

Thanks for the compliments RS, from a man with tastes as refined as yours it means a lot.

Thanks Rock... I think I'm gonna stick with the way it is for now. I think it looks killer and from a production stand point the more bends you add to the equation the more you open yourself up for screwing something up... I do that enough

Any pictures of a quick mock up for the front cover for the winch?

Yes sir, I'll post on Monday. I'm technically taking a day off today... we see how much I listen to myself right?

Don't think the pipe frame in the centre is going to holdup in a deer strike.
Personally for build strength I would have preferred the ¼" plate the recovery point are made of is extended as a upright.
The pipe is then centered across the two uprights.
I do like the angles of the end piping over the lights.
I also prefer having my wheel arches intact and my bull bar to be that width. It will also allow the extra 2" required to properly clear the indicators.

Pretty much what i was thinking with the recovery plate making the main "Hoop"..:clap:

You might consider using smaller diameter tube for the lower tie-ins. IMO the Cruisin Offroad bumper has fantastic lines, the only drawback I've found is the weight of it.

Ya I like that. Maybe for the sides smaller tube and for the middle cross bar 1 1/4".

Recovery plates are 1/2" FYI. Thats a good idea only problem is it looses the modularity factor if the tube is welded to the plates.

This is the most frontal shot of my TJM. This top half, with a better clearance bottom half would be allsome. One thing I dislike on mine is the lack of recovery points. But I do like the Hi Lift points.

Just some features to consider.

Footrat are you a mustached Irish Firefighter? My Grandpa was a firemen and paramedic for a long time in Mass. I come from a long line of Irish servicemen. Seems Irish have a knach for kicking the crap out of most everything... fires, bad guys, etc. Carry on and thanks for the picture.

I no longer have the mustache, and it's the only red hair I can grow. That picture was inside a portapotty on a natural gas leak scene.

lol that's classic... good thing the boys weren't around to help with disbursement.
