Looks good, dude! x2 on some sort of winch cover, don't know what that could be, as its a pretty open style in the front right now...

The only problem I see with the cover is this. If your running line out and the tension-er decides its gonna not function properly and you get a birds nest of cable. Your winch is completely covered up and you forgot to bring tools with you on this quick little excursion. Then what? No way to remove the cover(s), no way to untangle you cable, stuck and cant recover your vehicle... Honestly if you want a cover for your winch they make em.

I'll do whatever you guys want for the most part but you have to look at it from all angles and scenarios.

I agree, I like having top access with the ARB bumper...I like where this expo bumper is headed though underdawg.

If theft is a real concern...seriously people will steal a winch with torqued down bolts and little to no access??? then get some of those 55 bolts or spot weld the nuts or whatever.

"then get some of those 55 bolts or spot weld the nuts or whatever."

You aren't getting anywhere near my nuts with a spot welder. Just sayin' :)

You are correct it needed to come up an 1.5" no big deal

Are you bringing the whole bar up that 1.5" or just the wing?
I like the geometry/lines across the top where the wing doesn't line up exactly at the top of the center hoop.
Also, any chance for a bar across the wing when you start on mine? (I'm after @Qball right?) Maybe just below the bar running across the middle of the hoop? (Which is a great addition btw!)

Broke out paint myself since I don't have the luxury of just stopping by.

I need everyone that has an order with me to please call or PM me when they get a chance please and thank you. I am not happy with the powder coating as of right now. I went to pack up the 4 orders that are ready to go and there's bubbling in the finish. Its not pock marks or anything I can see to do with the welding. But bubbles small little bubbles. From what I gather talking to Dave it must be some kind of contamination issue. I can NOT let these go out of my shop like this. I know some of you have been waiting for a month or better for these to get to you, but I just cant let sub standard product leave my shop. I spoke with the owner and he personally along with myself are going to re-blast these and coat them tonight. He's been over run with new accounts and hired a bunch of new guys that may or may not of played a part in this. I hope that you guys understand I want the absolute BEST product for my customers PERIOD. I'll be returning to his shop this afternoon and will be getting this taken care of.
@LFD2037 your bumper set was not sand blasted as I was gonna leave the powder on for you as a thank you for being a great customer. You have the choice to either have powder or not at this point with no additional charge to you I paid for it.
Going through some new business gremlins that are causing delays and I'm sorry for that. Like I said I want nothing but the best for my customers.

Call or PM me, I'd prefer a call but if you cant PM's fine. If there's anything more I need to do for you I will.

Coming from someone that got a cheap P/C job applied on his bumper (it's was free from a friend, and nothing to do with UD product), it has almost completely flaked off and shows much surface rust throughout. I would be concerned about the "bubbles" and wait for UD to sort this out. IMHO.

Its a contamination issue from what Dave tells me. I'm heading there right now to media blast, seal and powder coat. We're staying till there right. He assures me its not a major issue but at this point everything is to me..

Good luck for this afternoon. Sure you will get it sorted. Good value and service often have delays as mass production is not involved.
This is the reason I deal with artist like yourself. You have pride in what you do period.
Thus means any issues your clients will have you will sort out there and then. Not wait for corporate run around.

Honest communication is what is expected [emoji106]

I am not in the US but if I was you would get my business.

PM sent.

I am very much liking the lines you are creating. I agree with all the suggestions that @JasHook made above.

I also think that you don't need to be tied to the modular concept, you could also offer a single piece expo bar that has a solid face to cover the winch. This should simplify the build process and you could build it as strong as you like (easier to make strong than a bolt on cover, which you pointed out earlier). It also gives folks that don't need the modular design another option.

I have a new ARB, but if you had a single piece front expo where the winch is covered, I would be very interested.

Can't wait to see my rack with the couple of customization's.

Im refunding everyone's powder coating $$ its on me guys. I want you to know this will be taken care of as soon as im home tonight. Were all ready to prime and then powder. My most sincerest apologies.

You don't need to refund my PC money, just make the bumper the way I want it.

When I was researching bumper choices I came across a number of references to IronMan having a rough go of it with welds and p/c not being up to snuff a few years back. Seems like a common glitch. Hasn't been a problem in a number of years though, so clearly they sorted it.
I think we all would agree that getting it right is better than getting it fast (which is why I don't already have an IronMan bumper mounted up on my rig). I liked what you were doing and was willing to wait instead of getting an IronMan right away.

I'm heading back to the powder shop this morning to pick up all the pieces.. pics to follow.

Let's see a finished bumper pic!

These arent "EXPO" bumpers but you can see the finish and what I was describing. There's up close pics of the finish after we fixed em up and its slick. Looks incredible IMHO. Dave's a heck of great guy to deal with. Nice to have him on the team.

Was up most of the night and today to get these perfect. I think we did it.

This is after I noticed the bubbling in the finish and called Dave. He said to bring them in asap and we'd get it straightened out. I tried to sand on em a little thats why they look shiny in spots.

Inspection and the media blast

Getting ready for powder

Another rack waiting to get blasted and coated

2 racks done and ready for shipping

Close up on the finish. Everything is flawless now. I put the eagle eye on all.

Bumpers packed and ready to go
