Anyone heard about these or tried them yet? They seem new to the market and look interesting...

They are brand new. They were in my Roundel magazine and they commented that they did quite well in the mud and had decent road manners.

Friend had Mud Rovers on his 80. They were dirt cheap but didn't last very long.

LOL, it was an issue about new Dunlop tires from high performance street tires to these. They actually had a pic of a Taco going through some deep stuff with them on at some BMW off road event. IIRC, they said it would take away from the driving experience if you put them on an X5.

Unidirectional tires wouldn't be my first choice, but that's just me...

Never heard of anyone happy with Dunlops on their 100 before.

I had the factory GrandTreks which lasted about 25k (kms) and second set of tyres through my lease of the LC100 i went to GrandTrek AT2's....much better tyre offroad...but....lasted only 27k (kms). The tread depth is very ordinary.

I fought to get 265/75/16 Cooper STTs, and won...(long story) and got them put on at my odometer reading of around 66k (kms) and i am currently at 111k (kms) with real 5 tyre rotation done where i bought the tyres (unlike Toyotas 4 tyre rotation where i had it serviced, slack b@st@rds).
And i still have very good tread depth....6 mm ? maybe more. I'm not kidding. A great tyre. More ks to come from them.

And i mentioned this to the leasing company that i was dealing with coz i thought it might save them some money by using good tyres instead of the Dunlops...and got no response.

Thankfully I own the beast outright now as of end of May 2009. Sweet. No more dealing with idiots at leasing companies!

They look pretty wimpy..... Then again I am biased, I had a set of Dunlop tires and they were not good.
