I recall someone lately buying all new door hardware for their 70 series. window cranks, door handles, etc. Based on my VIN, many of these are NLA, so I went to find that thread and get part numbers; however, could not find it.

Anyone recall who that was?

BJ7309507585

04/1992 TOYOTA LAND CRUISER (BJ73LV-MPW)

specifically, window cranks was my first NLA part.

can you help me find a front left door window regulator for my 1984 Bj73? i will greatly appreciate it VIN BJ730000158

Its in post 4.

got it! thank you

You can use other 84-99 7* series regulator, most of those on the net are advertised as 75 series and they will be the same as yours.

it is kind of a pain. there is a metal shield (that's what I would call it) that gets in the way of the bottom part of this rod install/removal. I believe the screws holding this shield are on the side of the door under the door latch. at the bottom where this rod hooks into there is a plastic clip that has to be moved out of the way, like the one on the inside door handle. yes you have to remove the door card and some of the plastic.

Ok, is it possible to do without destroying the plastic piece inside the door?

If you pull it back slowly the goo should give, you could also try using a hair dryer to soften it up first
That is a good idea, I should have tried that but it wasn't too bad. The first time I kinda messed with it I guess I didn't pull hard enough. This time that part was easy.

New door plastic vapor barrier is something like $8 IIRC. Also you can pull on the plastic to stretch the butyl rubber and use a box cutter to cut the butyl. It will stick back to itself.
