Welcome!

Thanks all! I jumped the gun and posted a thread introducing myself...here's the thread that gives the rundown of my current cruiser, I actually picked it up from CSC's own @pbr streetgang while still living in IN:

Tortuga2 2 Indy/Caballo Build Thread

I need to update it...we went to Sedona on Sunday, was awesome despite the tourist trap nature. Also had an interesting drive back with I17 closed...long story.

Too bad you got caught in that mess (saw it on the news). Too common on I-17.

Travel I-17 alot and avoid it on weekends if at all possible. Saw on the news ADOT admits there is a problem says they have no money to do anything about it. Projects planned for the future none were on I-17.

Yeah it was pretty ridiculous...saw the news on the delay as we were leaving Sedona so we google mapped our way back. Google took us down like 25mi of gravel and dirt roads along with literally hundreds of others doing the same (hilarious in itself). ADOT closed the ramp onto I17 off of bumble bee rd literally minutes before we arrived at it, so we got stuck waiting in a line of people (including ourselves) not knowing wtf was going on. Ultimately we were faced with like a 3hr reroute and backtrack through Payson or Prescott, or waiting on the ramp (an unknown eta). Waited an hourish with no end in sight, then turned around for Payson route as I was getting panicky bc it was already 10 and I was starting a new job in the am. Like 15min out the other way ADOT broke their silence and said the ramp opened again and so we turned around again :meh:. Pretty hilarious in hindsight, but definitely frustrating at the time.

Welcome to the group...

Welcome! love the 40!

when I-17 has a problem, I take the back route down dirt roads from Mayor to Black Canyon City to New River . . .
