Thanks for the tip, friel. I'll run it by the :princess: but she likes to feed 'em expensive stuff that you usually can't find outside of a couple pet stores.

This is my cruiser dog. Abby is 8 and loves to wheel. I'm not sure, but I think the title must be in her name the way she claims shotgun.

I have a sad cruiser puppy update.

Ursa broke her hind leg on Sunday. She jumped for a toy as my wife was cleaning up the back yard and landed wrong. We took her in for emergency treatment, and she had surgery yesterday to repair her leg. Hopefully she will be coming back home today. We had her at home for a few days after the accident, she had to wear a huge cast, but she managed to get around pretty well. Sadly, she will have very limited mobility for about a month. We will most likely have to keep her in her crate about 90% of the time. I doubt that she will like it much.

Ouch, need to get her a bunch of toys to keep her occupied. Nice cast, did you take her to the care center on River and La Canada?

That sucks....poor girl!

No, we took her to the emergency place at Broadway and Prudence. We live in Rita Ranch and it would have been a bit longer of a trip to get to River and La Canada. :-)

She is back home and seems comfortable. Sadly she has to stay pretty confined for the next 4 weeks.

Here is my Cruiser dog, Petey. Sad for us Petey has moved on to the next life.
We do miss him.

Hey everyone,

I have been meaning to post this update, but it always seems that when I sit down in front of the computer something distracts me and I forget why I sat down in the first place. Same thing happens when I see shiny things. :-)

Ursa's 4 week recovery became a 6 week recovery. They did xrays after 4 weeks, and while there was a great deal of healing, the vet wanted her to have alittle more time. We got the carbon-fiber fixator removed a 3 weeks ago, and she is now at what seems to be 100%.

There is no noticeable limp and she runs and plays like it was never broken.

When it was all said and done, we spent just a little under $3900 for the whole ordeal. The sad thing is that it setback my buying a new camera that I wanted, and doing the work to the cruiser that I had wanted to do.

Hopefully I can scrape some money together fairly soon for the cruiser, it has been in the garage far too long.
