Lots of stuff going on that's hard to see......plumbing started.......exhaust to be finished today and then off to be coated......1st protype bezel made/reduced size to match the cutdown hood.....front bottom link frame attachments and front upper link double sheer attachment points progressing. The arrival of the cowl and hood will allow several areas to be finalized and completed.

But, what the heck is under that jacket?

LS1 motor is rated for like 345Hp and can be easily upgraded to over 400HP. Adapters to an an Atlas would be hard to come by with Toyota motor/tranny.

If the motor and tranny came out of a Tundra, you can adapt the auto to a minitruck GRB and you can get an adapter from OTT to adapt the minitruck GRB to an Atlas or a Dana 300

twin cases are unnecessary on a comp rig

Toyota parts are much less common for repair than GM stuff, especially when you need it immediately....other competitors dont run them either, so no one to scavenge from

I don't think anything is per-se wrong with the Toy motor/tranny, but I'm unaware of anyone who has sprung for that setup in a competition rig. Shortstar motors, 4.3's, LS-1's, and others are much more common due to aftermarket support by the hardcore manuf's.

Also I have found more readily available support and documentation of the electrical / computer system for GM motors. Easier swapping / reprogramming / custom harnesses, etc....

The Twisted Customs fiberglass hood and cowl are over $700

Mine came from Holeshot Off Road in Utah. For a full width rig, the fenders proportion it out.

BJonRoids booty fabbed most of the truck. While the end result netted him what he wanted, there is now a better way.

MarlinCrawler makes an adapter that will adapt the Toyota automatic in a Tundra/Sequoia to the gear reduction portion of a minitruck t-case. Then you can adapt that portion to:

Cruiser 1 piece case
Cruiser split case
Dana 300
Atlas II
Orion
Probably a few others that I am not thinking of.

then just a ball joint press, for those POS ball joint 60 end forgings people like to use?

This is sweet

getting a 2 piece through a junk leaf sprung rig with a frame is hard enough. This stuff is very impressive.

see that little ridge down the front and back edge of the cowl as it's positioned into place? That is effectively rolled into the metal....presses the ridge to add a great deal of strength to the flat material.
