see that little ridge down the front and back edge of the cowl as it's positioned into place? That is effectively rolled into the metal....presses the ridge to add a great deal of strength to the flat material.

It amazed me when I was first working with sheet aluminum at the race car shop to see how much strength that gave... a 4x8 sheet that would just about bend 180* before the beads were rolled, would damn near stay straight after just a few of those beads were rolled in.

Engineering is cool stuff.

Here's a pic of one:

Where is the slip in the front driveshaft?

Beautiful..

with all the other bling stuff going on this thing, maybe they can't afford a slip joint

Man, I hate for my stuff to be breakin for I ever get to run it.

Same shaft setup as on my 5K# heep, no doggon problem in 4 years(no problem with shaft Woody).

Lots of stuff happenin, hopefully pics tomorrow. Elect, plumb, front axle, real body panels, stuff off to plate shop......look to hopefully have rig to powdercoat in the next week or so.

Why won't they let me see under that damn coat?

Schedule is to wheel it at Chile Challenge in Las Crusas the third week of Feb, and then Giddyup.

Later, Jimbro
