So, I was involved in a hit-and-run accident this weekend while driving our 2014 200. I rear-ended a guy, who did not have any brake lights, and then he proceeded to take off.

We are now in the market for a new front bumper. I think we have narrowed it down to the Proline or the VPR4x4. I am looking for people's opinions. Does anyone have experience with either bumper? What do you think of the looks? Our 200 is Pearl White, so I still need to figure out the color of the bumper.
Please do not try an sell me on an ARB, TJM or Ironman. Those just do not do it for me. Maybe there is an option similar to the VPR or the Proline that I am not aware of, if so, please post it.

The inside photos are the VPR bumper, and the outside photos are the Proline bumper.

Thank you for your help.

I have already received a price quote from VPR and a lead time of 20 business days for production. I have reached out to Proline, but I am currently waiting to hear back.

It may be worth contacting CBI to see if their front bumper is ready for the market.

Wow those are aggressive looking bumpers! I don't think you'll ever rear-end anyone again because they'll all be getting out of your way!

There are some threads a couple years ago going over these 2 bumpers specifically. There was another company that was reviewed that had a nice rally bumper... can't remember their name though. I went with ARB mainly for the air bag compatibility.

I am sold on the extra protection of the ARB. I know a person who hit a Deer full speed on the highway and experienced no damage

I have been sold on the ARB Bull Bar since this event https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/daughterofromer-learned-the-value-of-armor-accident.50707/

+1 for full bull bar.
I was on the same stretch of highway in Alaska when a husband and wife were both killed when a caribou came right through their windshield. Just one more reason I want a full bull bar on my next bumper.

My only gripes with the ARB bumpers is they seem to extend forward and downward more than necessary. I wish they mounted a bit higher/shorter. If one of these other bumpers had strong, full bars, I'd love them as an alternative.

Can't go wrong with TJM

@brices123 , good call. The vpr was the one I was trying to think of on the phone the other day. @GOLDY , I told you there was one I liked! ;)

I really like the TJM also and was about to pull the trigger when Summit quit carrying them for the LC200. :(
did you call summit and ask them to order you one? if they are still filling containers and shipping them then it shouldn't be an issue for them (summit) to place your order on their next container build.

My vote is the VPR painted to match without the top hoop to make it more stealth and soccer mom friendly. The sliders from the pic looks very nice and wife friendly also. Who makes the roof rack?

CBI is not making anything for a 200 as of EXPO.

@brices123 sucks to hear about your accident. Happened to a buddy in San Diego 4 hours after he bought a new tundra. guys lost control in a highway interchange ramp, caused a three car pile up, hopped out and ran for it. Highway patrol was just, well, they were probably illegal, that's why you have insurance.

anyway...

Bumper got bumped while I'm finishing the current pile of modifications, but will probably do just that when I'm ready again.

Makes me a bit nervous that TJM fell off their radar. Don't want support issues in the future.
