Check it out. This is the new BFG M/T. I dont think BFG has spoken directly about it yet but they have been showing it off wherever they can. Looks like just a modified Krawler with not enough siping.

is that replacing the old BFG MT?

Wow!!!

Seems like I've been hearing about this new MT forever. I'm not sure why it is taking so long for it to come out. Looks like a nice treaded tire.

I'm not in the market for a tire of that service type but in typical BFG fashion it's a really good looking tire that makes me think how manly my truck would look with those paws on it.

Im not really sure. Im assuming no since its the BFG m/t KM2 and I would think if it was a replacement it would jsut be the BFG m/t like the old one.

I like it. Will have to see if it makes the cut over trxus and toyo mt in about a year when I need new rubber.

Looks pretty meaty and gnarly. I agree that it sure needs siping. I even had my GY MTR's sipped and it greatly improves the traction in wet and icy conditions. Huge improvement.

Wonder how tough the sidewalls will be? Make them out of some long lasting rubber, add siping, and some kind of anti noise canceling feature and they should do great.

Wait a minute here. If 'noise cancelling' reduces noise then 'anti noise cancelling' is the opposite, right? Snicker

They better have a better sidewall than the krawlers, and the steel belt better run the full width of the tread, or they wont be any better than the sh*t they already make.

We dont allow vehicles on our desert trips for work any more, because BFG's end up FUBAR instead of even just punctures over here.

Those pictures were taken during the UA. The lead truck ran 42" KM2's on 20" wheels. We were all supposed to run the tire, but the delays and a truck that did not show up in time prevented us from doing so. I think three other trucks ran them with good results both on the rocks and the mud.

The look like Krawlers with smaller blocks. On the 42's they don't look as burly as the Krawlers, actually looks like 1/2 worn Krawlers. We did share this with the BFG guys on the trip.

Not sure on sidewall and metal band. The Krawler is a awsome tire for grip, I now have 39's in DOT and competition compound and I can honestly not recall a time where they did not hold the like or slipped, but alas, we did cut a sidewall on the previous UA and other people had some again on this UA. They could be stronger, but I am not a tire guy so I am not sure what would be involved with making them better, and they might even have done so on the new MT.

I am not a fan on the BFG AT or the BFG MT, but the Krawlers I like. 800 miles on the road (with some off-road) on a set of competition tires that was never balanced and the truck still drives straight with little to no vibrations.

Last month I wheeled with a guy that was sporting these.
I think I left a drool stain on them.
It was the first trip out on the new meats , and he reported that he was very impressed ,(showing off in 2wd with nice grip)
