Been seeing this pop up lately but no post about it here.

If it keeps less Side by sides off the trails I am all for it, but just like any new laws, it gets people feet in the door and can easily start restricted more and more.

Actual bill
SB 1567

other than the new laws being written poorly and will more than likely be poorly executed,,,, any roads that arent in a OHV designated areas are public roads and already require driver license, insurance and registration.

all they really needed to do was start enforcing the existing laws.

I'm not signing up for the enforcement squad for these new regulations. I look terrible in little red dots at 200-500 yards.

One of the nice parts of reservation wheeling, UTV and ATV are not allowed on tribal land.

Fellow Maricopa cruiser?
Yes, I cruise the desert outside Maricopa often and have not encountered anyone tearing up trails or going off trail. It's the desert, man! After reading the entire bill, I am in agreement with this bill, especially pertaining to young drivers and passengers on ATV's, UTV, motorcycles and side by sides. Usually am against Californian style over regulation, but this makes sense. If I'm reading the bill correctly, us guys with LC's and other Toy 4x4's are not affected by this new law, unless we are inebriated. For now, fine, but am sure they will come after us eventually, somehow.

Good information to know, thanks. The bill, if read does not blur the lines between LC's and other offroad vehicles. We in our club are safe from any interventions into our forays into the offroad in Az as long as we follow the laws and no permitting our education is required.

that is yet to be seen, if your not familier with the OHV sticker program it draws a line between a motorcycle and a dirtbike, however when it came time to implement and enforce the sticker EVERYTHING with two wheels on the dirt was a dirtbike and tickets were issued.

so, we'll just have to see if the interpretation by LEO sees EVERYTHING with 4 wheels on the dirt as an OHV

After reading, is this all from Hobb's office?

Next thing you know, you'll have to have a license to drive on the street!!!

"primarily off of highways." Also nice to see they clearly lined out four-wheel drive vehicle, hopefully that eliminates any confusion.
