Lol.

I have 2 tan, 4 black, and 3 white left. Probably keep the tan but the others could be up for grabs.... Ill post em when I decide what Im gonna do with them.

D

Whoa I just re-read this and saw that you have some decals left over?! I'd take two... Please say you have some left?

Theyve been dissapearing ^^^ the locals are stealing them out of my garage. Id love to make a post and take orders, get more made then do one massive mail run but Im too lazy...

Well I scored some parts for the 60 yesterday. A buddy needed a place to stash his parts BJ60 so I hooked him up with a buddy of mine whos got a massive property and is willing to adopt another lawn ornament. I ended up walking away with all 4 doors which are in ok shape, some kickass sheepskin seat covers that might make their way into the 80, 2 cool "G" package fender badges, some rubber floor mats, and an oven to do powder coat experimentation in for 200 bucks. Good deal.

Im planning on trying to fab up some half doors out of the new to me ones but have to wait till I have the time.

Still waiting on shocks otherwise. Debating on eldo calipers for the 14 bolt too. Cut out a bit more rust in the ps inner wheel well (rotten under those stiffening ribs you see in the wheel well) and patched it, jiggering a cb antena mount that may end up pretty cool today....

Fing shocks!

Didnt go to sleep after nightshift for some stupid reason so I got a couple few things done. I ran my cb cable and tore apart the dash to hook it up, powder coated the door handles (picked up a pc gun, some powder and a s***ty old oven), and Randy came by and sold me some fancy robot lights from a scoop tram so those got hooked up.

Couple of pics of the pivoting antenna mount thing I made up. Not done yet but you get the idea.

Holy crap! My shocks just cleared Canada customs! Im freaking excited! Hence the exclamation points! Theyre the only thing stopping me from actually driving the van. Had to tell someone.

D!

Got the most complicated antenna mount in the history of antenna mounts finished up. It pivots up to an upright position then stashes away when Im not using it. Did that to be able to fit it in the garage... Pc'd the bracket red since im all intrigued with the powder coat thing. Also did a piece of aluminum and one of my badges.

FOA 2.5's. Gotta redo all my mounts to make them work. Hoops for the front....

Took er out and put the summer tires back on. Gave it a wash... Flexed out on the curb like a jackass. Ordered up some bil 5100's till I figure out how to get the monster truck shocks to fit.

Dude. I really dig that front bumper. Good work

Thanks, it looks a lot better with the big tires behind it. I really like the scoop tram LED's that are mounted to it now. Theyre super low draw (ran one off a 9V battery lol) compared to what was on there and I think they look cooler than s***..

If they survive under ground for any length of time they should be tough as nails to boot. Those effin miners are hard on their gear, you guys would cry if you saw how they treated brand new 79"s.

D

Love it. I still think you need give 80 some love though.

^^ 80 got a new rad and the tranny topped up a while ago man. Im still loving it and dding it, there just isnt anything left to really do to it (knock on wood). Shes rollin on 37's and sportin custom sliders/bumpers/carrier, shes all skidded up....... Cant think of anything it really needs besides an engine/tranny swap lol. Some dude is coming to test drive it on friday so that might be it for that 80.

The rear bumper/fender hoops on the 60 were on there when I got it. I added the 1/4 protection, swing out, and swing down tire carrier to it.

The LED's cost me 360$ for the two. They are a combined flood/spot and I got them through a buddy who works for a place that refurbishes scoops for the mines. "Northernrighty" on here works for the place that sells them to all the other shops so hed be the guy to contact.

Sitting around waiting for the fedex van today. Theyve got my temporary shocks and thats all thats holding me back from driving the damn thing. I wish theyd hurry the f up! lol.

D

Holy macarony, that protection series of yours is looking good. leds made quite the right look, seems like a decent light, should hold up good! ;)

I love the pivoting antenna, great idea!

I'm also just waiting for pars...customs are a pain in the ass sometimes.

^^ dont get me going on waiting for parts man. The big shocks came in a month late so now I have to cram making them fit into the summer when all I wanna do is drive the thing.

Speaking of making the shocks fit, I decided to do something completely different instead. Stripped down my beater doors and cut the living s*** out of them. Planning to sink an ammo can in there for some extra storage, some cup holders, a latch to open the door, and a tube armrest of some sort. Gonna paint them hearingaid beige like the van and do the white stripe down the side like the full doors have.

Door cuts.

I thought long and maybe not hard enough about the placement of the cans. This was what I ended up with.... Picture it all finished and painted up.

Was gonna do this.

Ended up doing this..

Ive been debating between some tube doors or some half door. Half doors would keep more junk out compared to tube.

Im loving the front bumper, I will remember that when time to do it for the 80, I might not do the tube part but even just the main part of her looks great. Looks fairly simple to do also.

What did you have in mind to store in that ammo can??? Upright would have been nice cause you could have accessed with door closed and you in seat. Now you'll have to have door open and hope nothing spills out. Why did you decide on that way?
