How the world do you get the tire onto and off of that tire carrier?

That was the one thing I wasn’t keen on. So high and visibility musta been tough too.

Congrats on your sale and the next chapter of your Cruiser life. I copied your decal and get compliments on it all the time!

I had no issues with the spare but then again im a grown man.... lol. I also made it so the tire swings down on its own mount, you know, just in case the gf or my mom had to change a tire...

When trying to mount a 40" spare on a swing out its hard to find a compromise between visibility, clearance and ease of use. As far as visibility goes it wasn't bad at all, a tad more than half the rear glass was obscured by the tire which is better than some ive seen. The holes in the wheel also line up nicely with the glass which helps.

Bonus is you'll never drag ass on the trail and you certainly dont have to worry about backing into things since its sturdy af.

Ps: Guam, swing the gate out a bit before pivoting the spare to the ground. I shortened the spare mount a bit and the tire touches the exhaust if the gate is closed.

Also remove the big wing nut and plate and take off the lug nuts then put the plate/wing nut back on. Itll make removing the spare swung down much easier.

Thanks for the tip! I like the tire exactly where it is. Didn't block my blind spot during the trip.

Shook and bounced like a son of a gun all the way home through.

Haha, just kidding Darwin. It was solid as a rock, just like you said it would be.
