A left tail light?

^^ LOL good catch. I can feel for Romer... the first scratch and dents are painful.

thats not the first scratch.:D Fortunatley, just the tailight plastic broke when a tree snapped into it

But I always seem to have issues with Trees. I remember years ago wanting to start ih8trees.com

Kind of nice having the parts guy on speed dial while I am driving home :D

Since I am missing my first Cruise Moab in 8 years, I decided to give the truck some attention today

Mmmmm Black

The OEM Rims stuck out past the tires, these do not

I never figured you were for aftermarket rims. But those look great. Glad to see some wheels that look good on the 100!

What kind/size are the rims, they look great!

I got them at Discount Tire. Not a name brand

In the link you will see they are $142 a wheel. I was going to leave and he said "How about the 5th one free and free mount and balance"

They are 18" rims

I too never thought of you as one who would go with the Taylor O Special.

Curious why you guys would say that? I have heavily modified my previous rigs.

I know, its just that LC OEM wheels hold an almost cult-like status with the veterans around here.

True dat.

Ken, you got some bling, but lost your Toyota quality parts, and most folks on this board are not "wheeling" to make that trade.

Thanks for the clarification. I ran non oem on both 40's I had. The 80's OEM rims where fine as they stood up and didn't stick out past the tires like 100 rims do.

Guess I don't see rims as an OEM must have. Engine, Drive train, axles, you bet. I'm the guy who intentionally ran with his bezel upside down on his FJ40 because I liked the look.

I could say the same on the toyota quaility parts when I replaced the skids plates, shocks, roof rack, etc. I do stick with OEM parts on things that matter to the reliability of the vehicle.

Those others parts mentioned are inferior... enjoy your new rims. They go nice with the black bumpers.

Well sir, you've convinced me to get a 100! Great write up. Since the wife has ordered me to get rid of my recently purchased 80 she bashed up, I've been trying to decide whether to get a '97 80 or go with a 100. Now I want an '03 or later hundy!

Glad I could help. Haven't done much lately other than getting her a little sister:steer:

So how are you liking the new rims? Any rubbing? I may go this route instead of trying to track down factory 18's.

I have had no issues with the rims. Same size as the factory

wheels look great!

Romer- are you just putting the roof rack on when needed? Is it a PITA to put on and take off?

It's a two person job to not scratch the roof. I was leaving it off for a while, but I just put it back on and will leave it on.
