Less than 50 lbs as well, beefy but not overly heavy up on the roof.

I kept the 18" rims and went to Toyo MT 275/70/18's

They are 33.6" tall, so I gained a half inch over the Nitto's

I almost went for the 285's, which are 34.1 inches tall, but they were an extra $100 a tire and hard to get. Would have had to get them on the internet. I would rather have a tire thats not hard to come by. Got these for $276 a tire at Discount Tire.

I ran these on my 80 for years and was real happy with them. They were pretty quiet on the way home. I did have them siped which helped a lot on my 80.

Anyone want a good deal on some fairly new Nitto Terra Grappler's :D

BTW Wes took this picture of my going through the Dirty Devil. Dontcha love water crossing pics?

Do the FrontRunner fuel carriers bolt up pretty easily to this rack? Also, how did you mount the tent to the rack? I am in the market for a new rack and just stumbled across this one.

It all bolted fairly easy. I did have to buy longer bolts for the brackets under the RTT, that cost my less than $4 at the hardware store.

The brackets under two corners of the frontrunners were easily found at the hardware store as well. The rack in its 4 corners has flat plates with multiple pre drilled mounting holes. Easy to bolt to the outside plates, it's the inside as you can see from this picture.

Hi Romer, and thanks for all this valuable information. Nice rig!
It help to me to take some decision during the 100 build process.
Also, I am new here on the 100's side and I came from a 80.

Welcome and thanks for the compliment. Glad to see your no longer searching for a cup holder (have to have owned an 80 to understand)

Thanks Romer, now I want a 100. Been wanting one, but now more than ever. I don't suppose you know anyone who wants a 08 dodge cummins? lol Very nice 100, perfect example of my dreamy fairytale 100..

Just got back from Moab and ran 4 trails; Gold Bar Rim, Porcupine Rim, Fins n Things and Londike Bluffs (Inside Arches Park)

I did take the roof rack off because I wast carrying anything. saved 1 - 1.5 MPG

I really love this truck and there are some difficult spots on some of these trails which allowed me to test ATRAC vs Locker

The ATRAC works fine in most situations, but there were a few spots that I wasnt getting up and engaged the rear ARB locker and scooted right up. I could have probably picked a different line and gotten the ATRAC to work, but this was a same situation test

I like having both the Atrac and lockers. It provides more tools for greater capability. There was another spot that I engaged the locker because I wanted to power brake over an obstacle due to a tree being next to it and that gives much better control.

The Toyo's performed awesome as well

Best yet, got to spend time with my daughter in her 80. My other daughter (4runner) couldnt make it

Nice rig. Hopefully I'll get to check it out one day around Denver. (fellow Coloradoan)

Curious? What is the propane tank for?

I hope my kids (now 5, 7, 9) stick with wheeling and me like yours have. I love hearing you talk about getting to enjoy this hobby with your daughters, now with their own rigs. Kudos to you and thanks for being a good role model to us newer fathers.

When we went to the Maze, wood fires are not allowed. A friend had a really nice gas firepit with stones that was just as good, so we all brough a propane tank to have a fire every night

A left tail light?

^^ LOL good catch. I can feel for Romer... the first scratch and dents are painful.
