Been on the board a few months now but never got around to posting up pics of my rig. Here it is:
It's got:
mystery v8 350
Centerforce Dual friction clutch
willow front disc brakes w/ slotted-crossdrilled rotors
rear TSM disc brake conversion
kyb shocks
rancho lift w/ rancho steering shock
bikini top
ratty bucket seats with $16 (a pair)advance auto seat covers
rear seats from a 76 I believe
customer rear bumper w/ air tank. It has an attachment to hold two jerry can's but I removed them to save on gas
rear 15 gal fuel tank
I have the hard top but its in fair to ok condition. I'm thinking about just getting rid of it. I didn't do any of the work on this truck except for the rear brakes and the clutch.
I did make that ghetto custom trans hump cover out of sheet metal and mr gasket shifter boots. It's sooo much cooler in there now. Best $30 I have spent in awhile. The hump got hacked up when the 350 was put in and the transmission was moved forward.
I just drove this rig from Oklahoma to South Carolina pulling a trailer. The total weight was over 7200 lbs! The truck itself weighs only 3500. My friends think im crazy but the AF paid me good money to move all my own junk. I made it but my brakes were really iffy. I think the old master cylinder doesn't work well with all the new disc brakes.
I plan on painting this bad boy and cleaning up all the surface rust. I'm thinking about getting a new roll cage and front bumper from iron pig:

Here are some lights I plan on ordering. The stock ones really suck at night. Anyone use these on their rig?

I also need a soft top and soft half doors. I'm thinking that's a much more practical solution than the hard stuff. How easy is it to install/uninstall the soft stuff?
I'm all really new at this but I'm willing to get my hands dirty. I'm lucky that I can do all my work at the base auto hobby shop so I have all the tools I would ever need and people there who know what the hell they are doing. I love this truck so much that I am selling my 04 mazda rx8 so I have more money to pump into this guy.
