Searched the forum, but to no avail. Has anyone rewired/tricked their factory fog lamps to stay on with their high beams? Thanks!

Yeah...you just vampire tap two wires. There is a post on the 4R forums. I would have to hunt. It may be in my build thread though?

Great! Found the mod in your build thread and the link. Time to have fun! Thanks!

For those wondering with a GX...you can splice pin 17 to 16 on the fog light combo switch and run fogs (or a light bar in my case) with high beams on! Just did it and it worked like a charm!

I have a bunch of the connectors left if anyone needs one.

Here is the quote from Dan's build thread...

The connector referenced is behind the lower steering wheel cover, left side (turn signal stalk connector). Three screws need to be pulled to remove the cover - one under the cover, and two accessed by turning the steering wheel 90 degrees right and left as the two screws are behind the steering wheel. The number "17" is on the connection side of the connector. Flashlight is an aid to seeing the number. No number "16" is visible, only "17". 17 is on the corner and 16 is next to it on the long side of the connector.

Guess I should have taken photos and remembered the wire colors. I was too excited it worked!

I don't have exact images. It is very easy. Get a connector like I posted above. Take the three screws out of the plastic cover on the steering column. Work the bottom off, leave the top in place.

On the bottom left you will see a connector for the multi-switch (very obvious). Unplug it and there will be a label for pin 17. Unwrap some of the electrical tape from the harness to get room on the wires 17 and 16 (right next to it) and splice.

Reassemble. DONE

Bugs are fake. BMTHiker and his bride added them at some point at the ACC invitational and I didn't even notice till the kids pointed them out a few days later :)

A little more info...
