For what it's worth. I have a list of repairs on my 78 that pretty much matches this one and mine has 31,700 miles. I got this one from my wife's uncle so I know the mileage is correct. The original 2F blew up at around 30k and was replaced with an F engine with unknown mileage. Since I've had it (January this year) I've rebuilt the carb, new plugs, new front floor, replaced rear axle shafts, new bearings and seals front and rear, and new brakes on all 4 corners, and a new master. I still need to replace the seals on the tranny and tcase but I'm waiting for the clutch to die but I think it's close. I'm also pretty sure the rear main is leaking too. It could use some paint too.

From my perspective the repair list is right in line for only 20000 miles.

I'd look for signs of wear around the drivers area. If there's a heel spot through the floor liner, the pedal pads are worn down to the metal, and the steering wheel and shifter is polished in certain areas, I'd be highly suspicious of the mileage. Stuff like that doesn't wear out with age, only use. In any case, with a car this old the mileage really doesn't matter, because you'll still need to do a lot of maintenance. Whether it has 21K or 121K or 221K doesn't really make a difference if it was maintained properly, it would only really matter if you wanted to resell it and advertise it as low mileage. I'd be more worried that there was so much work done with so little miles, it suggests that the vehicle wasn't taken care of very well.

this will be moved to the crying and wining section any minute now....

:hhmm:

Where's it at again? :D

If you are in JH, and it's the white one I saw two days ago I'd say 4-5k. Sweet rig.
