Anyone going to the NE Georgia swap meet? I talked to the guy hosting and It seems like he is having a ton of parts out for the entire cruiser spectrum, that includes 40's 60's and 62's. I would like to go but I would need to go with someone that has more experience. I lack the knowledge and tools of pulling off parts. What can I say, I am a ROOKIE!

Information and parts hungry,
Matt

Matt,
JP, Chuck and Myself are all planning to go down. We'll most likely have JP's trailor in tow. JP is looking for some doors for 1/2 doors and I want to salvage some goodies off the pig since he decided to part it. Dont know what Chuck is looking for but its probably a list that includes a brake booster among other things. I'm sure we could fit you in whatever we take, and we'd all be willing to yank parts and help you out.

Thanks guys,

I'll be more than willing to spot a gas tank or two. When it gets closer to the time to roll out, i'll post up my numbers so we can make final plans. have a good week.

Hey I would like to go with you guys if possible and maybe even drive a few people. I need some parts. I have a vehicle that can hold six. Or one that hold 5 with a trailer (I own a little red one 1000lb capacity) And more tools than you can shake a stick at.

Well we are always up for more people coming with us. And if we dont have to use our tools all the better.

Hey what time does this sale start, I say we get there when it starts. Don't wanna let the good deals go. I'll get up and go when ever we need to.

like 9am so we would have to leave here around 630-700 to get there when it starts.......... of course we have to allow time for a waffle house stop, otherwise it wouldn't be a real road trip

AGREED! I'm still trying to decide on how much cash I should bring.

i'm goin...
however i have to get there, i will be there, ha ha...

i'm hoping to bring a truck and trailer (hopin to bring home a tub, but who knows...)

I thought it started at 8 but its been a while since I read the thread. But I'll leave whenever we need to and sleep on the way.

The meet starts at 9 and goes till about 5. I figure that it will take about 2 hours to get there, thats not counting a Wa Ho stop. I say we meet along 85, around Exit 19( there is a wa ho there, but i don't think it will be a road trip unless we hit one up one the road). I think that would be a good ralley point for car pooling and I don't think there would be a problem parking cruisers or what not at one of the many restaraunts along the Clemson/Anderson exit. It sounds like its going to be a early moring, so maybe on thursday I'll start a new thread or just add on to this one and get a roster of everyone going. I'll need names and phone numbers and the number of drivers we need. Oh and who is driving? NOT ME :flipoff2: Have a good weekend, later fellas!

Lets just get it done now if you are planning on going and riding up there with the group give your name and contact info. Better to get it all figured out in advance.

Hey guys from exit 19 on 85 it is about 45 minutes to my house maybe 1 hour,,,,try to follow these directions since you are coming from sc (I go to the h depot and lowes every month)

come down 85 get off at exit 160 go east, you will cross back over 85
go thru Royston (bout 12 miles from exit), as you are exiting royston there is a circle K on your left, the road forks to the right hwy 281, there is a Hannah creek baptist church sign, if you miss it just cut thru the tattoo parking lot

(stay the speed limit in the 35 sections bc cops hang just over the little hill tops)
on 281 you will go about 3 miles and up a big hill witha dirt road to the right, after that dirt road you go about 1.5 miles to the FIRST paved road called cheek pulliam there are 2 chicken houses just on this road, ifyou get to the Harrison Volunteer fire dept you have just missed it
if you really miss it no biggi it comes back out on 281 about 2 miles down you can hit that and come in the way I described on ih8mud
ok say you dont miss the turn the first time,,you are going to go for about 2 miles on my road (cheek...) markers are in order first 2 chicken houses, on left,,, 80 series on right, curves in road, long straightaway, 2 green chicken houses on left, 14 dogs running free, curves in road,,,,industrial building on left, brick house on left, then our big black mail box adamson/hegger,, slow down,,large opening in trees look for my LCs 80 40 62 (one maybe near dbl gates) and our yellow house, white house on right, then a double gate on left (bout 100 ft from white house) with red barn in pasture as you go down the hill, that is where I am holding it,,, if you get to some crappy trailers, or reach the bottom of the hill you have gone too far!!!!

look fwd to seein ya!!

ps as far as how much cash to bring,,, ALL OF IT!! you can always re-deposit it on Monday,,,

Keenalc........ the more the merrier, and the more to split the cost of gas :)

I'm in. I can drive if needed ( and be the DD  ) and will bring a small trailer. I can hold 4 maybe five in the JGC. I think meeting at exit 19 is a good idea.
