Napa or O`Reillys part number for a Saginaw p/s pump?

Can anyone provide a part number for a Saginaw p/s pump?

If I can trust my ears I’m pretty sure I’ll need to buy a replacement in the near future…. I think I’m hearing bearing noise or something.

What do I ask for at the friendly local auto parts store?

The pumps are available in a 1980-older with 5/8" SAE threads and flare fitting, OR 1981-newer with 16mm metric threads with o-ring fitting. That should be your guide.

Auto Zone also carries the Duralast #6000 remanufactured Sag pump. I will be picking one up today.

What PS bracket is that? Mine is a hodgepodge of chaos/metal combined with some crappy welds the PO came up with.

That's right! I forgot I did get mine from autozone. I still need to install fittings and lines.

The pump bracket is from JT Outfitters. Seems to work pretty well, and is a *great* improvement over the hodgpodge of poorly-fabbed metal bracketry that the PO installed that was impossible to tighten.

I had a mechanic install it and he had a bit of trouble displacing some of the smog system vac lines to get the braket in (on 79 CA-smogged truck).

Got my #6000 pump from Auto Zone Friday.

FYI: The mounting bolt hole threads, both front (4) and rear (2) are not metric, but are SAE 3/8 - 16. I used some 3/8-16 all thread, to make some custom studs for mounting.

The high pressure hose I got from Orange45 fits the pump perfectly.
