I pulled the grey one out to bring back down to the valley and sell. But not sure I wouldn't rather keep it. How bad is ths rust? I have another floor but not sure if I can't just piece in parts of a floor.

more pictures

Under the gas tank has some minor pitting but nothing worth worry about. The top has a couple of rust thru spots on the end of the ribs but the rest looks goods. Way it rusted this way is strange.:hhmm:

DROOL!!! That is perfect! I wouldn't change a thing. Shippin her back East sounds like a wonderful idea, I'll pm you my address ;)

OMG. That is some awful rust. Do you realize how much time and money it will take you to fix that right? You should definitely ship that eastward where guys are foolish enough to fix rust like that. I happen to know a guy in NH that might be dumb enough to take on a challenge like that!

Lostrmy tether at the cabin so unable to load any pictures right now. Wanting a opinions on whether to restore this grey one or sell my white.one. Then if I keep the grey one do a do a full restore or just fix the floor and get it running? The engine is a complete unknown. Right off the top of my head the only things I remeber this one missing were the spare tire, gas cap and generator. Not much of back end guy but this one was just plain sexy. Can't post picture (using my phone) but if you do a search in the 25 section for a thread "show me your rear end" or Mike Fox's emblem for sale thread it's pictured there.

Compared to this one https://forum.ih8mud.com/fj25-owners-group/231024-look-what-followed-me-home-weekend.html it has a lot of rust but htere is something about the round rear wheel wells.

That grey one sure looks nice John...and if it is that much more original than the white one, then I would properly restore the grey one and sell the white one

The white is going on the trailer back to Peoria. Thr grey was is only moving in to the garage about a hundred feet away from where it was parked for nine years. Next time I'll pull the plugs and soak the cylinders. Need to figure out what shape the engine is in. The shifter for the transmission is frozen. Maybe ghat is where the problem was.

So, where is the rust on that grey one again? I still don't wee anything.

I think I saw a pin hole on the drivers side rocker

:D

the outside is quite nice...floors have seen some better days...how soft is the floors?

Good eye Johnny. Here is a better picture of the major rust. I believe the the dent caused the spot weld to pop and rusted.:frown: The floors really aren't that soft. I could just throw rubber mats downs and call it good.

The cruiser is tucked away in the white 25 spot in the garage for now.

I think I need to start a poll.

#1 tow it back as sell it as it.
#2 sell the white one a and restore the grey one.
#3 sell the white one and get the grey one running then drive it as is.
#4 keep the white and take a Sawzall to the grey one because it's too far gone.

Few goodies came back to town today.
I know we all like to put down POs for the stupid things they have done but I would like to say thanks to the PO who installed a radio and figured a way to mount under the dash instead of on the face which seems to be the most popular.

Well, you know my vote...get the grey one driving and stopping so you can get to "know it", (and enjoy it now), sell the white one, and eventually properly restore the grey one

"Take a Sawzall to the grey one because it's too far gone!?":rolleyes::ban::lol::lol: I've not seen ANYTHING in your collection that's as far gone as some of the trucks I used to daily drive. Dang spoiled westerners.... Out east you ask about rust by asking "finger, fist or head?" refering to which body part would fit through the rust holes. I WISH my trucks had that much rust; I'd be one of the most envied Cruiser owners around these parts. ;)

Nice trucks! Since I'm closer to you than the New England guys you can save on shipping and just have one that's too far gone dropped here. I'll take it east a couple times a year so they can enjoy looking at it too. :D

Not sure why but I plan on selling the white and keeping the grey one. Someone needs to explain to me how this is logical.

Because the white one is now ready to go to a new home and be enjoyed by a new owner, while the grey one now needs some love to get back on the road

Guilty as charged. But just like it's a bad idea for someone with a gambling problem to live in Las Vegas same holds true to someone with a cruiser problem and lives in AZ. It's like be a kid in a candy store.
