Score 2 nice OEM canvas door- first owner decide at some point use instead aluminum skin. Paint the oem bows for next weekend install OEM canvas top 7 windows...

finally the time came,patience and $ always short,cos its not easy working on 2 fj40..but here it is....the top fit tight.but its great to see it like the way it should be.

Next projects: roof rack, canvas oem doors, fj60 PS,rear disc brakes...or if the japanese 1970 allow some cash to flow on it...

put the warn 8274-50 to work...pulling out a red montero out of the swamp..then a Tundra V-8 that was also pulling the other Raider..so both tundra and the dodge raider was stuck in the middle on the water hole....not bad test for my warn...

Your rig is what I envision mine to be in the future... something that will be used with my wife and I in cool locations and with friends. And something that doesn't need to be factory stock perfect, but functionally improved. thanks for a great thread.

Can you tell me a few details that I may have missed in the thread:

What brand tires and what size ( i read that they were on 4runner rims, but would like more specs) how are they in the sand? in the mud? on the road?

I think it looked like you are spring under axle, is this true and what lift is on the rig? i think i read that you have rancho shocks on. any more specs?

What is on the top of your snorkel? who makes it?

who makes the propane camp stove in the pics? do you recommend it?

Works good if you keep a steady rpm,lockers help..not much flotation on sand. in the mud?Works pretty good,self cleaning. on the road? Not very good on wets roads..wear ok and the classical noise .need a good stereo for long trips..but i like the HUM HUM on the road

Put Power steering on your 40 when you can, and rear disc breaks...
