Some moar progress today.
I was able to find radiator hoses that work. Hours in the Gates catalog and some Google-fu.
Also got a battery finally. Hopefully the last "big ticket" item left.
Props to Battery Systems in medneck for actually having an item in stock, and priced at internet price. My regular battery guy was $65 higher.

Odyssey PC680MJT.
grabbed these side terminals.
Also modded the battery tray. The little floor catch things were in the wrong place so i ground them flush.
I am going to have to build a battery tie down.

Cool, can't wait to see it on the road.

Well, shyt always takes longer and never really goes to plan.
Ran to town this morning to grab some hardware and steel bits.
Hardware was mostly a win. Was hoping to find some 18ga strap but no luck today.
I did get the battery hold down done. Got my last tonneau snap bolted back up. Finished installing the radio speaker. Ripped the battery cables out so i can build new ones.

Battery cable stuff.
I had to grind the stupid little lip off the lugs so heat shrink would play.
1 ga cable. Ends sourced from Commizon. I crimped these with the cheap little "hammer" tool used in the press.

I also removed a broken screw, attempted to remove two others and broke a drill bit. Plus breathing hundred year old dirt is fawsome.

I have a compression style crimper if you ever want some stuff crimped, I probably have the right size. Of course I am on the other side of the valley. Those look pretty good, welding cable?

Yes welding cable.
I used this same setup when i bilt my winch cables ten years ago. No issues. You can't beat $11 crimper ;)

Some moar. Got broken screws knocked out. Went ahead and glued down front kick panels. Glued in trunk side panels and messed around with some brightwork.

I have a roll of that grey felt trunk lining material if you can use it. I won't be needing it.

Ive been plugging away trying to get the wiring harness all installed and squared away.
Most days seem like im just kind of spinning my wheels. Between looking for tools, parts and then figuring out what goes where.
I swear i spent over three hours in the garage last night and accomplished like 30 minutes of actual production.

I still needs some odds and ends as far as rubber bits.
I need to literally nut and bolt EVERY fastener on the car. Still need a few bits of hardware, primarily lock washers.

I need to build another heater hose capture and heat shield for the carb/fuel line.

And yes i still need to unbox the carpet bits. :flipoff2:

So i had to build another ground cable since the shortest of the three i built wasn't what i thought it was for and didn't fit where i thought.
Had to get another rear turn lamp pigtail.
I got the battery hold down installed.
Got actual ground cable installed. Used shortest cable for the starter ground strap.

Nice job on the frame. I felt kinda bad grinding the coating off for a clean ground.
Only thing I didn't end up doing tonight was plugging in the rear lights.
Hope to power up later this week or early next.

I used to get excited about taking stuff apart and making it all pretty/fixing things. Now I think I enjoy using stuff that doesn't need to be fixed. Yet if I was to get something newish I don't think I could delude myself into thinking that it was going to last for any significant span of time...
Glad to see you are making progress and keeping something old and cool on the road.

I had a paintless dent guy come over to look at a couple spots on the 'Lady. He told me he didn't want to **** with it because it was like a Sherman tank.
