So the matrix, and Jesse, found me a new project...

There is such a thing as Craigslist finds.

So jesse and i were having a beer. He was telling me about how his new nova was his dads fault, something, something, something, something.

I mentioned I'd been looking for a fairlady to build for autocross and general mischief. A couple hours later Jesse sends me this ad. Ironically posted right about the time we'd been chatting.

The next morning, curiously got the better of me. I sent an email for pics. They sent these.

I sent a few texts, had a short phone conversation about the car. After a little net research we decided it would be foolish to let this one pass.
First thing in the morning i shot her the "we'll take it" text.

We kind of wanted to go last weekend but it didn't work for them.

So fast forward to today.

Last night was like Christmas eve. I was up at 5am finishing getting the truck and trailer ready.

We rolled out about 715am.
We drove 62 to the snow road then turned onto the other snow road.

Rolled into the spot at noon.

Pics explain the enjoyment had on the drive over.

So after helping guy put wheels and hood back on, money exchanged hands and we loaded her onto this fine ass rental trailer.

So the little bit of net search basically says they built around 300 left hand drive single carb cars for 1963.
I found an online registry showing 16, not counting this car.

The woman i bought this from had it garaged for the last 18 years. Came with original California pink slip and shop manual.
Her mother bought it new. It has 66k on the odo. :smokin:

What's funny is it was such a crappy little ad with no pictures and it turned out to be a really good find. Only problem with finding such a clean low miler is now it'd be a shame to put in that triple turbo infinite v8 with the 24" donks you wanted. Oh well, lean and lightweight works too.

The engine compartment and front inners have been painted. The rest appears to be original..

Took a couple more pics of random things.

First pic is interior, showing the third seat.
2nd is the OG hubcaps. If you look close you can see the 4runner reflected.
3rd is the OG spare hold down. f***in bitchin.
