I decided to wet sand the sealer ( primer ) on all the flat outside panels, hood, fender, doors… for a better paint finish as i haven't done an paint in , oh.. 7 or 8 years now and with a New gun it took a bit to figure it out and the sealer was a tad thick or fat if you will. So a quick wet sand to flatten' it out and should be good to go !! planning on paint tonight or tomorrow, so should be done by monday !!

P.S. Jason, you could come help put it together with some nice TT gear ?? would be easy if you were in Maine !! hihi, ;) :smokin:

Brother, I'd love to come up and fab with you for a week or so! Gotta do the move thing though! Then time for Andrea and I to relax and do a few things (London, Amsterdam, Beijing, Homer to Fairbanks, AK then back to the GRIND!)

We have to get to New Fairfield, CT to see Andrea's dad and I need to do some things there. But, hope to make a NE visit from there.

I'll be in touch before that trip!

Man the paint job looks awesome. Even though it would be a shame as it looks so perfect, Please tell me you are still doing this?

And why the rear body panels are masked?

Thank you very much, i have decided not on that paint scheme as i am a little short on time and to do it proper there are many, too many body lines which i think would take another week to do. plus air brush, etc…. Maybe another project ??
The masking is cause i was doing just the undersides and wanted the roof out of the way so i would not screw up the quarter when doing the roof ( clear ) its a pretty big rig when your painting, just trying to make as easy as possible to paint,

@pistonpete which paint system did you end up using, it looks fantastic!

Going to be painting my rig soon and yours is a true inspiration

Wil post pics of the paint soon, gotta go lay the final clear……..:beer::beer::beer:
