Thanks to a fellow mudder who pointed this troopy out to me back in August of 2006. We are the proud owners of a 1982 HJ47. We have always wanted a Troopy and glad we found this one. We will be replacing our 100 series with it as the kid karrier and dog kennel on wheels.

In the PO's words

1982 Diesel 2H (6 cylinder)
115,000 Km (72,000 miles) original miles.
4 speed
Two fuel tanks, A/C, PTO winch, bull bar, frame mounted safari rack, huge waterproof gear bag for top use on top (blue), spotlight

It is all original and includes all the folding back seats and seat belts. I will send more close ups of the two areas of body damage - they are very small. There is no corrosion, paint peeling or serious rust. There are a few knicks in the paint here and there. Body and Mechanicals are excellent - no smoking, a lot power and everything is really tight.

my nipples are hard just thinking about it!!:smokin:

If you just turn on that giant light in the middle of the front brush guard with the the noise of the diesel, people are going you to think you are a train coming down the road. when is the turbo going to be put on?

hahahahahhaha

Unless they started delivering those dash over sea one year earlier

actaully they did(starting in 81), but only on the LX trimed 40's(42's) the Troopies and rest got the dash in I would say.......oh 10/82 at least ;)

I was wondering who won the $355 million drawing last night.....

Very cool, everything I want except I'd prefer left hand drive.

Does it have power steering?

Does the rack come off and can you pull the hard top off with the rack still on?

LHD ones are hard to come by. I looked and looked and gave up. Going to have to go through the coffee drive through in reverse I suppose.

No power steering as far as I know, but it has AC:rolleyes: ...Haven't received it yet.

The rack is bolted on and can be removed...you want it?

I'm converting mine to LHD and am just about at the point where I will be welding in the new bulkhead. There's a fair amount involved, osme of which was not apparent at first, but it's not too hard to switch over, especially if you have money to throw at it (which I don't).
