Time for a v8 in that beast to complete it! :D

I think I have the dorkiest rig on this thread.

285/75R16's
Old Man Emu Shocks and Springs

Been a while since I updated this thread!! After having my rig practically sold to a MUD member, back in January and the deal falling through, I have decided to continue my build with my 80. Have a lot of pictures and mods that I have done lately, just need to upload them.

Updates:
Added a kill switch to my internal electrical system upgrade.

Added some Hella Map lights to the front and rear

Plasti-dipped my Mickey Thompson Wheels

Had front axle inner seal gave and had some nasty birf soup. So I completely rebuilt my front axle. Have the rear axle rebuilt kit as well, just havent done it yet. It was a messy job, first time doing this job, but I learned alot and thanks to the FAQ I was able to complete this with no issues.

Added a pair of 8" subs to my sound system, sounds awesome. Soon this box will be included in my drawer build. so it will look very flush.

More updates to come!

this truck is SICK!
is the LED bar spot or flood.
Care to show some shots of the light set up at night?
I have a set of XGTs I plan on converting to HID and I want a 20" led bar.

The LED bar is Flood. I dont have any pics at night, but will be taking some.

Poser Shot!!

So today i added some LED lighting per NLXTACY thread. Turned out pretty awesome.
Added a switch on the battery box to turn on the lights whenever.

Evolving fantastically!!!

Hell yeah, the right way to do it ;)

So true, when I was working on adding outlets or working on my sounds system, I had to unplug my system from the battery, this makes things so much easier. Sorry if it seems I am copying your ideas. But I like your mods, very well thought of.

Nice. You are further along with it than I got :flipoff2:

I thought this was the best route, can turn it on when need be and the switch is easily accessible. No need to add a switch to when you open the hood.

Are you kidding? By all means. Glad it worked out

Long overdue updates!!!

So I purchased an RTT (roof top tent), went with a Venezuelan made RTT (CarpasAnaconda.com) I like this particular tent setup mainly because it is quality made, has internal led lights to see at night, a 12v outlet inside the tent for charging a cell phone etc, its lightweight not as thick (when folded up) as the other RTT's in the market and most awesomely it has a window for adding an A/C.

So in order to add this awesome tent, I needed to buy or build a roof rack. I decided to build one, and followed a cheap alternative using atv ramps. I followed WildYoats thread on his infamous J-Moose rack. I liked this setup as its an aluminum rack, its not heavy whatsover when compared to a steel ARB roof rack. http://wildyoats.com/the_j-rack.htm

Here are pictures of the roof rack build!!

One of the issues I came across as to what type of gutter mounts to use for the rack. I didnt have to worry about clearing the factory rack as my LX didnt come with it from factory. So I opted for a more of low profile rack, similar to the baja racks. So I purchased a set of Smittybilt (8) Heavy duty gutter mounts. These are similar if not the same as the confers ones.

Roof rack turned out great on the rig.
