just to give a update, changed the fuel filter, 90 weight, adjusted parking brake, adjusted all brakes, bled brakes, greased up drive line and went to town, drove it to all our running around we had to do, got allot of looks for sure, people were staring @ us saying in their heads, "what in the hell is that", the truck almost drove itself, not really but was funny to think that in 1972 this very truck was driving the same streets, kinda neet!

Cleaned all the caulk out of the drip rail and it is ready to seal. No rust to contend with, I guess I am lucky on that one.

More to come!

no he did not think anything bad, he is a muscle car 70's guy, he thought it came out real nice, just needs some finishing touchs by a pro bodyman now,

I still am going to sell the ole girl, just getting her as lined out as possible before the big sale. If she don't bring big bucks she will stay right here with me, it is fun driving the ole girl around.

I just meant that the steel on these things is very thick and that when you hammer an dolly on them....well compared to new stuff ...it is a real work out. Did a simlar looking crinkle on the FFender of my 73 40...a lot of big swings with the body hammers to get that metal to move.

She should fetch some nice coin..if not I'm sure your OK with the alternative :D

oh yes you are so right, many swings with a hammer and dolly, was a real work out, I was under the fender hammering out, had to rest and get a beer !

New steel is tin foil in comparrison.

Yes If I have to keep her then she will only increase in value, plus get to drive the ole beast around! But I know a sweety like this will not stay on the market very long.

Looks good so far, that's a really nice clean pig to start with.

How did you do the drip rail? Wire brush or sandpaper or something like that?
