She's alive!

Sounds good! You gonna have it tagged in time to drive to the Christmas party?

Good job, Gabe! You look like a proud father feeding his newborn baby. Or you would if I could see your face.

What's next on the punch list?
Going to get one of Marshalls dizzys. Then got some wiring issues to figure out. No headlights, brake lights. Do have turn signals and working heater. Working windshield wiper.

No will be well after christmas. Needs tires and I really don't have the funds right now. Hell I have three vehicles that are going to need tires.

I hear ya.

Buy another LC and make sure the tires will work on the 40, when you get that rig running buy another and put those tires on #2

Simple ;)

Installed dthe dizzy. Trying to figure out the wiring now. Old one was pretty crusty.

Per marshall long wire goes to positive post on coil. White connector extends to negative. What about the black connector?

Also does the ballast resistor go in line to the positive coil from dizzy?

Alright here goes. Long white wire from dizzy to positive side of coil. Wire with white connector connected to negative side of coil. Ballast resistor also connected to positive side of coil. Truck turns over but hasn't started yet. Will try again tomorrow morning.

Marshall what do I do with the wire with the black connector?

power has to go to the positive side of coil...also the ballast resister goes in line between power and coil.

How do I check voltage at coil. Need do make sure I have 12v. Put ignition switch to start position and measure at top posts of coil?

Posiive terminal should have battery voltage when the ballast resister is cold when the key is turned to run...may have a bypass when turned to start to bypass resister, but I doubt it.

Tried to start her up again today but didn't put a lot of time in it. Too cold outside. Not 100% sure I'm getting 12v at the coil. Downloading fsm now.

put a jumper wire from the battery(+) to the coil(+) and try it...won't hurt anything if it's already getting voltage

I got 12v. Timing must be out. Does this pic look like the dizzy is seated all t he way in?

I'm thinking no.
