Bought this off eBait from a cruiser guy in Washington. Waited until the snow was over to ship it here to MA but I guess I didnt wait long enough.

1965 LV with a Chevy 327. Last registered in 1996.

Runs and drives but thats about it. Engine leaks and is dirty. Needs a tune and adjustment badly. Thought about putting an F back in it down the road....a 350 would be easier.

Needs suspension work, massive interior work, etc. An all around driving project.

My plan is to get it somewhat safe to drive around town this summer. New suspension, brakes tires and a tune up. Door latches are a mess as well. Next Fall/Winter I'll tackle one of the bigger things on the list.

Very excited. I owned one years ago and never should have sold it. This one is really solid with very minimal rust from Oregon. needs a bath asap to get the salt off of it. It will live inside until the snow is gone.

Not doing a restoration but a general clean up. Looking to drive around town and maybe class 6 roads at some point. Mainly looking to have some fun!

That's what it is all about.........fun. Looks a a great LV to start with. Good luck with the build up.

That is a nice find! I like your plan, driving it will be fun.

Drove it a mile down the road today. Total death trap but I was grinning ear to ear. Brakes then suspension then tires/rims.

That's awesome you caught that David!

She's a beauty! How bad is the interior?

It looks like a rabid wolverine lived in while being poked with a stick.

I bought an LV on eBay from some random guy in Washington. That's the whole story.

I assumed everybody knew they were d-bags, my bad.:meh:

Enjoy the new 45.

Cool man. I had no idea. The barrage of emails, texts and messages were a bit overwhelming. Sorry if I snapped a bit.

Anyway, hope you'll still tag along with my rattle-can resto!

VIN is FJ4516412 Title says 1965

Cool I think that would make it a very late production '64. 1965 was the first year of the standard factory heater and the associated fresh air vent on the passenger side kick panel.

Looking forward to following you build

The heater system is put together with PVC pipes. no idea if it works yet. It has the vacuum actuated axles which I've never dealt with before.
