Has anyone used a bulb with multi flash capability in the high mount stop light area of the rear hatch?
I am looking for a plug and play solution.
I would like to find multiflash on initial application of the brake pedal that switches to always on after X amount of flashes.
Think stop and go driving for city or urban driving to alert inattentive drivers behind me.

It’s not a bulb, but a full-width LED circuit board. You’d have to add an inline gizmo to do the flashing.

Nothing personal, but I find those flashing brake lights annoying. But hey, if they’ve prevented an accident...

A circuit board "gizmo" is kind of what I was thinking too. Maybe something for a motorcycle that only has one brake lamp/light circuit will be small enough to fit in behind the red lens assembly? I'll look in that direction, thanks @Ayune

@saucebox thanks for the link to that thread you posted, might as well reseal while I have it out and get the parts before-hand.

Also note that you don't need to remove the light assembly, you can access the connector and insert your inline gizmo by removing the upper trim from the inside of your hatch. See post #25 in the aforementioned thread.

@KraziAzn @saucebox @Ayune and all, I ordered this one from Amazon (along with butyl tape) and will let you know how it works out. Thanks for the input, help and suggestions.

Since it's for LED bulbs, what bulbs is everyone using? I would like the third brake light to do the same which I see is also possible.

Sorry @GorData I wrongly assumed there was an incandescent bulb that could be replaced or changed out. The previous posters are correct. Inside the Center Stop Lamp assembly is a circuit board with LED's on a strip.
I don't think it is meant to be opened up and LED's changed out:
