Long story short, lost the only key that had a chip and would start the truck. I have a sore that is not chipped so it will turn the electronics on and turn over the starter b it won’t actually start it.

Well I had someone come o to reflash the computer to get me a working chip in my key so i could drive again. Wel the guy is s***ty and rude at the end and says that the dash doesn’t work anymore after reflashing. Now the key won’t even turn the accessories on let alone start the truck.

I opened the glove box and checked the computer with a bunch and sure as s*** the computer isn’t even screwed back into the dash and there is a loose wire that has a 2 prong pigtail on it and I cannot find where it’s supposed to plug into. The electrical system should be stock as far as I know so I was hoping someone had in depth knowledge of the wiring harness that’s under the glove box. Getting a tow right now but I’m out 350$ and my truck is bricked. Beyond pissed off. I’m hoping to god that the loose plug is the only problem.

If anyone knows what it goes to or what it might that would be awesome.

Any help or suggestions are appreciated.

When glove box door removed. There's a plastic cover, that was then removed, to gain access to CPU, HVAC filter and such. That may be one of the plugs that fit to switches attached to plastic cover. Likely glove box light.

Depending on year. We have up to 3 plugs on plastic cover. Air bag sensor wire. Glove box light. TPSM A B SW.

Warning: Always, disconnect battery (negative post clamp) 20 minutes before touching wiring.

Glove box light wire plug (white plug w/green-white wire):
