Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

I knew when those were discontinued that they would do something like that.
That is my bet for the 5th gen 4runner. We bought a PRO last year as my wife's car and hope to drive it for the next 10 years and lose very little money. I guess we will see...

As for the HE, I did know it would be special in 2020, but did not have the guts to stomach paying $90kplus for a car. Big mistake. Ended up paying $80k 4 years later for a lightly used grocery getter with 35kmiles. At least it was a CPO.

I really had no idea what it was and only wish I had known better at the time. What can ya do?
Last March I had an opportunity to buy a brand new 4Runner TRD Pro in Terra(special for 2024) for $5k off. The dealer was pushing it out I guess anticipating the new gen coming. I knew it was special, I knew it'll hold the value. But at the time I was "too good" for a V6, and was too insistent on wanting the 200series. If I would have bought it then, I could drive it for a year, sell it now and at least break even if not make money on it.

What dealer gave you 5k off?

I'm also in the NJ area and shocked that any dealer around here was offering $5K off a Pro. I was able to buy a '23 4R TRD Pro at MSRP from Princeton. I had also purchased my '21 LC HE from the same dealer for $1K off MSRP back in 2021.

At the time I bought the HE, I had to convince my wife so much to let me pull the trigger. She couldn't understand why a Toyota would cost nearly $90K. She was dead set on buying a Mercedes GLE from the dealer across the street. Thank god I didn't let her win that argument.

Houston TX, Dec 2020 purchased brand new LC for 9.68% off MRSP (~$8,500). In hindsight wish I bought HE, first thing I did was remove third row. Still considering it.

This was Eatontown Toyota. Now I don't necessarily recommend them. They have BS mark up on pretty much all their vehicles. I was able to negotiate my RAV4 Prime at MSRP back in 2022. For those who forgot, back then hybrids were going $10-15k above sticker and people were paying them! I was able to slash the $8k mark up off and bought it at MSRP which was considered a great deal in 2022...

Then I was in service for my Prime in 2024, and saw that Terra TRD Pro. Also had $10k markup on the window sticker. Spoke to the salesman and he told me a couple actually negotiated down to $5k off MSRP just the day before, but then walked away (I think for a non TRD sequoia). I half joked with the salesman saying I'll take that $5k off deal, and he said yes and was serious. But I chickened out because I wanted to upgrade to the 200. Funny thing is I went with a buddy who's dream 4x4 is a 5th gen TRD Pro. So he regrets it more than I do HAHAHAHHA.

We bought (at MSRP) Underground for my wife's PRO last year - which ended up also being a special color in a 5th gen PRO because was only offered in 2024, all previous grays were MGM. Could not stomach the Terra turd which was the official exclusive color. In the sunlight it was fine, but in a cloudy day or shadow it was literally like poop. $5k off for a PRO last year would have been a stellar deal.

Is this an aftermarket color? I don’t recall seeing an orange Land Cruiser before.

That's how I feel about most Toyota colors. Especially the Pearl/Mica/Metallics. Even on the 200s, I like Blue Onyx/Brandywine, but both of them just falls apart the moment they're not in direct sun. Underground is great. To me either go wild like Solar Octane, or a good light tone matte color like Lunar Rock, those holds up better regardless of lighting condition or vehicle's cleanliness.

Not factory, Carfax noted it as silver, and you can see the engine bay is still the same silver. But WOW they even got the door jamb. Must have been an expensive repaint or wrap job.

Kind of hideous though. Even for a Longhorns fan. It’s not quite the right shade of burnt orange for us here in Texas.

Yep. Lunar Rock would be my preference too, but I wanted the last year model of the 5thgen and UG was the closest. My all-time fave though is cement, which I had in my first 5th gen runner PRO back in 2017.

BaT is such an outlier. Especially when you consider that those inflated values don't translate over to the wholesale market. Sometimes you see a dealer trying to on the retail side of course lol
Normally I would 100% agree, but with how low the sales numbers of these were, I don't think BaT prices are that crazy. At this point, most of the one owner "stealth wealth" original buyer vehicles have moved on to the enthusiast market.

I was thoroughly watching this one as I bought my 2017. It's one year newer with 15k miles less, but went for over 10k more. I think it was "fair"

Were certainly at the point where you can get a clean, one owner 16+ for 50 or under relatively easy. Just might take a little looking.
