Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

It just drives me nuts that people are trying to make 20-40k on a land cruiser!
Why? Supply and demand. It's the same for every limited supply item.

You could have bought a new one in 2021 for 80k.

New ones I looked at in 2021 were significantly more than $80k.

But that's a great deal if you pick one up for that price!

I got my 21 heritage for 82.5k. Had 6 miles on the odometer.

...and I'm not trying to make any money on the one I have for sale, and people are acting as if I'm trying to kick a family out of their house on a cold Winter day. Little whiny bitches come out of the wood work if they see a price they don't like.
Any seller has the right to sell anything (here the LC 200) at any price he likes.. Also anyone have the right to make a comment because this is a public forum.

The comments are about the statement undervaluing the LC community over billionaires... It's rather, do you like it... then pay.... else, I don't care, because there are billionaires to buy my LC at my asking price..

If one wants to receive respect, then treat others with respect.

By the way, it's more than a week since you have posted your AD, Hope you sold it to a billionaire. As far as I know billionaires drive Lamborghini, Bentley, rolls Royce, Maybach, Ga lander Wagon etc.,

I mean….you’re asking 107k for a silver HE thinking it’s something super special? They might have made less of them but it’s still just a silver truck, has 20k miles and a handful of scuffs around the body. Sell it for what it’s worth or keep it. Asking an obnoxious price on an enthusiast forum usually doesn’t work out. Toss yours on BaT with a 100k reserve and see if it closes

"Little whiny bitches". Awesome...from the guy whining and bitching when someone points out that if he wants to sell a LC on an enthusiast site, he may want to consider pricing it appropriately.

Hate to break it to you, but most folks on here (probably the vast majority) really don't give a damn about your money or that you are hanging out with Aspenites.

That whole FS thread and the nonsense relating that clogged up this thread need to be deleted!

There were plenty of posts that were adversarial and had no relevance, but it has gone on long enough and reached unfortunate levels with the LWB comment!

On topic.

Seems Land Cruisers are becoming a little more reasonably valued, average trucks possibly down ~10%, premium trucks not as much, and less desirable units a little more than 10% over the past 6 months. However, with the absence of huge values, there are fewer being offered which helped regain some stability.

I researched values for ~6 months looking for my most recent and typically AutoTrader would list 525-550 Land Cruisers nationwide, today there are just over 400.

I spoke to a retailer that moves alot of high end SUV’s and the market has softened and supply/opportunities to purchase have increased in almost everything except Land cruisers and there is starting to become a bigger separation in more stable Land Cruiser Values and most everything else.

Eventually all the 2020/2021 hype buyers will sell (or try) and it will return to mostly Land Cruiser folks owning Land Cruisers and enjoying their trucks, as opposed to watching values like they are a stock ticker!!

I finally closed the deal on my first 200 last night! It was one that someone else had actually posted here a little while back but was local to me. I went and checked it out and knew I had to have it. I love the color and the wheels were a nice bonus in my opinion. Plus it had some warn BFGs on it and I was able to convince them they all needed replaced and they even did it on their dime. It’s a 2016 with 70k miles and I paid $55k which I thought was pretty good. Happy to be here!

Awesome truck, congrats!

Thanks! I got in Monday morning at like 830 to try and be first because I had a feeling there would be good interest in it. Turns out they had dozens of calls on it while we were under negotiations but I was able to close the deal and couldn’t be happier!

There are over 10 cheap 200 series trucks for sale in the Atlanta area and I am starting to passively watch for another one. I bought my 2011 LC eight years ago with 68k on it for $38,000 and my 2011 LX with 88k on it four years ago for $28,000 then prices went stupid. It seems they are finally correcting. There is a plentiful supply gathering for $20,000 and up again in the Atlanta area. Facebook marketplace has some real interesting options right now! Looking and I figure 2-3 quarter this year I will pick up a 15k beater with 200k on it to let my son drive! I missed out on a really nice red 2009 LX WITH 180k for 17,500 last week!

Congratulations @Tanaman. Looks like a pretty square deal for a very nice looking BOP truck.

The 2013 I picked up recently came with a set of HE wheels and BFGs. Always nice to get a little bonus like a nice set of wheels.

You got the feedback you did on your post because of other things you said, not just your asking price. People ask too much for vehicles on here all the time; rarely are they crucified for it. If you could easily go sell it in Vail for your asking price, you would have done it already. I live in Colorado, too, and I know it's not that easy.

Vehicles here in Colorado tend to be more expensive than elsewhere anyway. Toyotas are even crazier. Land Cruisers are as good as it gets here. If you can't sell it locally for your asking price, you are asking too much.

IMO, you think the color is worth more than it is. But maybe I'm wrong. The market will speak for itself.

To me the color was worth more, so I paid a premium to get what I wanted. There are others out there that do the same. Funny thing, I did have some inquiries about the vehicle from the Mud community, and they showed interest and were pleasant. Unfortunately, there are those with thin skins out in the World, with a few here who cannot look beyond a comment, and get emotionally upset about it.

I had the ad removed because of the confrontation of a few individuals. As you said, the market will speak for itself. Maybe I'll relist it here again, maybe I'll put it in the local newspaper that shares classifieds with Aspen and Vail newspapers and other Western slope towns? Maybe I'll just keep it and enjoy it?

And to those genuinely looking for a 200, good deals are out there, just like there was a few months ago when I was looking. Just need to keep searching and don't give up.

I sure love a 200 that is not white, black or some version of gray. Nice find with a unique color.
