Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

This seems objectively like a huge arbitrage despite supply / demand imbalance that is obvious.

AHC is battle tested reliable, so unless buyer are uneducated and think it is airbag that is unreliable in other brands, the price difference doesn’t make sense.

LX seats, audio and soundproofing are all worth more dollars vs similar LC.

That said I’m biased bought 2013 LX after looking for similar LC for months.
I am mainly just pointing out an interesting price variable. AHC should be reliable and if not you can spend that $10K on whatever OME lift and coil overs you want. Think there is just so few LC and people are holding given uncertainty of return Of LC300. I am in between because wife so no Lexus, only Toyota badge… Even though we have an RX in the driveway she loves…. Maybe I need to badge swap haha. LX really seems to be value winner right now.

I did not, we couldn't make a deal. I was watching it but looks like it sold.
Oh crap sorry I somehow completely missed your reply to me, but from my observation I saw that the interior needed a little love. Trunk carpet had a big hole and both the rear door cup holder/ door panels were starting to bubble up and come apart.

Sorry to hear you couldn't make a deal... There will be more available soon I guarantee it.

Need your advise please. Looking at a '09 Silver LX570 99k miles and appears to be in good shape, $29k small car lot. VS a 2013 Nebula gray on black, 2 owner 86k miles and also appears to be in good shape, private seller for $39k I am coming from a high mileage LX470 and looking for some more get up and go. I could also pick up a 2007 Landcruiser 150k miles for $17k as a wildcard....Thoughts?

Slightly different topic but in the same vein. After years of not being able to purchase I am finally at the doorstep. I've never understood the price delta other than a fear of AHC (which I personally do not have) and legacy nameplate value. However, I finally spent some time in a 570 I was set on purchasing and the infotainment interface (joystick) was so bad I could not pull the trigger. I had seen many videos but presumed I could make it work. For me this purchase is long term and could not get over the hump. Back to searching for a LC for me.

Put a deposit on a 2017 LX570 with 56k miles for 57k, picking it up Saturday. One owner and all service records at local Lexus Dealership. Nebula Gray with the Cabernet Interior. I guess I need to get serious about selling my 2008 LC.

Both of those are low mileage for the age. Run the VINs through Lexus Owners website and choose whichever one has the better maintenance history.

FWIW: I searched for a 2013-2015 for a long time before ending up with a 2008 LX. Very glad I purchased it!

Curious about the maintenance history thing. I do all my own oil changes, tire rotations, etc per the service manual. But this shows up nowhere.

Given the amount of people saying their dealership sucks at maintaining their cruiser, curious what the thoughts are on this.

You can add owner maintenance on the Toyota owner website.

What are the thoughts on this one? Thank you!

- 2015, 30k miles, $65k.
- Carfax 1 owner, autocheck 2 owners (most likely business leased), full maintenance history at dealer on Toyota.com
- Undercarriage is clean (I asked for pics).

I passed mainly because it’s too far away from me.
Also didn’t get good vibes from the tires and at some point someone changed them twice. Michelins currently installed (I think Dunlop AT are OEM) and spare is KO2.

65k seems REALLY high for that one. You're paying a premium for mileage. I've seen a few 2018s with 50k miles with asking prices at 69k. Paying a mileage 'premium' for a LC seems silly, imho. Some people want the lowest miles possible, so I get the appeal, but if you are looking for a good deal, that one aint it.

My primary focus is to get a clean 2013-15, and a good deal is secondary. The price currently for a 2013-15 with ~100k miles at a dealer is $38-45k. I would be willing to pay a $15-20k premium for something with 30-60k miles.

Am I crazy or what? What premium if any would you be willing to pay?

I don't think there's anything wrong with paying a little extra for lower miles, but the deal you posted above is definitely excessive in that department. I would consider a 30k LC and a 60k LC of nearly equal value if you plan on keeping it a while, and if all maintenance has been completed. 30k miles is basically nothing if you're planning on taking it to 200k+. Personally, I think the sweet spot is ~60-80k if you want a "low mileage" example, and I would not be paying more than $55k for a nice one in the exact color combo I was looking for.

For reference, I bought my one-owner, Toyota dealer maintained 2013 in June of 2021 with 52k miles for around $54k. Although, I had to go black on tan which I'm not a huge fan of but it was the best deal in the country I could find at the time, and it was 5 miles from my house.

Are you basing this off info from the Toyota Owners site? My Toyota dealer routinely enters in their recommended service as completed service. One of my entries says 'REPLACED 3 TIRES - INSTALLATION COMPLETE' which never happened.

Thank you! You gave really good insights especially around the sweet spot, and I appreciate it.

Michelin tires are currently on the car. OEM for 2015 are Dunlops?

Spare tire location has a BFG KO2.

I figured someone first put KO2s all around. Then later someone put on Michelins and didn’t change the spare.

It’s priced too high. That said, it could be in pretty close to brand new condition. Just know if you drive it for 2 years, you are most likely going to be pounded on resale. Might not matter if you own it for 10 more years.
