If you like blue over black, there is one in Texas I almost bought instead. It's at Sewell BMW of Grapevine - no pictures online but I worked with salesman Maxwell who has plenty of pics to send. It's a 2017 with about 47k and is 61 or 62 thousand. The blue over parchment at Pohanka Lexus has leather damage in the second row that looked expensive to fix FYI. The blue unit at the Sterling, Va. BMW unit is covered in rust underneath!!

Yeah. It was crusty underneath from Buffalo NY if I remember correctly. Engine didn’t sounds smooth at start up. I was really surprised it was L certified.

I believe it had an accident history as well. Loved the Atomic Silver though.
 
What do you guys think of this? My wife and I just drove it. It seems like it’s in really good shape, but I didn’t look crawl under it or anything. Car fax shows only 2 oils changes (it has 40k miles). Am I crazy to be concerned that it was a rental, originally registered in FL, and has spotty maintenance history? Is it common for dealers to have cars on the lot from the complete other side of the country?

The blue /Cabernet one at Ourisman looked pretty good. A little rust under it but I don’t recall it being bad. It did have an accident history if I remember correctly but it was nice. We only passed because I don’t care for the blue.

Nice looking rig, it was on my shortlist.
 
I keep seeing that prices are dropping in the used market broadly, and the LX/LC market specifically. I am planning to move to the LX570 platform from my 3red gen tacoma which I never really fell in love with. Now that we have a baby the extra space seems nice. I found a private sale of a 2014 with 80k miles, great service from local lexus dealership, and asking 40k. Curious on opinions on making the jump at the price point or hanging tight for the market to drop further. Thanks in advance!

Are you in Tacoma? If so are you talking about the white Lx 570 for $40k at Lexus of Fife? I test drove it and it was mechanically nice but the interior needed a little love to be perfect. Otherwise a solid car for decent price I think.

I jumped from a taco to a LC years ago. The Land Cruiser is a vault compared to the taco. You can’t go wrong with a 200, and it seems like more and more are coming onto the market. I guess the whole overlanding craze has run its course.

Haha, yep, that's the one! It still feels a bit insane to go from a '22 to a '14 but every option I miss from my old trucks and from this tacoma the LX has in spades. Going again here in a bit to try and work a deal... What did you notice specifically in the interior? I went there in the pouring rain and had trouble seeing anything.

Couldn’t make a deal on it… bummer but maybe prices in the LC market will come within range soon!

So far the experience has been good but I just hopped online and saw that he has it relisted which is odd to say the least.

This dealer has a history of selling LC’s with issues and covering them up cosmetically and taking photos from angles to hide those as well. There’s a thread on mud about it.
 
What's the mileage ? It is well hidden.
 
Going to look at a 2019 Lexus LX 570 later today, has about 30k miles.

I have some concerns as the Carfax states this was an auction vehicle and has not sold since July. Appears service was done regularly at a Lexus dealership. What is the export to Ghana???? Any other red flags I should be concerned about?

Asking price is about $69k and being sold by a Toyota dealership. So not certified.
