Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

I am in the market to get a 200 but not at the price we see: 100K miles nearly 10+ years old and priced closed to a brand new Nissan Patrol (Armada) I bet a brand new Armada will outlast a 10 year old LC 200 easily. think about things you need to replace at 100K miles?

I see an LX now on the listing for almost an year and the price have dropped drastically. Meny mudders have now turned into LX/LC dealers in this forum. I hardly see a thread from them or helping another mudder.

Nissan Armada or Infinity qx80 was something I considered due to lack of good LC samples. But it didn't win in the looks and size department. Definitely an option to consider though.

For used LCs with current majority are in poor conditions, good samples are easier to find in above 60k range, for lower budget is much harder to find a clean properly maintained and without mechanical issues put on sale. Per book value sites they say that excellent condition cars are 2% of what they see, somehow 95% of LCs advertised fall at the excellent condition range and above.

Also keep in mind, new car inventory started growing this month, there are more MSRP deals coming just around the corner.

I was so close to put down a deposit for a brand new Armada white with Armond interior truck that was listed at 54K in Alabama. They took the listing because they got flagged by the Nissan Motor Co for selling at such a low price.

Armada has more room behind the 3rd row. See how these Y62s are rocking in 4WD247: check Rubens DMW videos on YT.

2018 LX two row, black interior, minor scuff front left, 85k miles, one owner, 5k service interval. 59k OTD, probably not the best price I can find.

I've got an opportunity for a 2017 White w/ Black Interior LX570, one owner, Lexus showing all of the appropriate maintenance records, southern owned for $66.5k out the door (tax/tag/title included in that price). Only 32k miles on the odometer. Looks nice and clean. Luxury package, 3rd row, Mark Levinson System, Rear seat entertainment. I feel like this isn't a bad price at all even with the market softening a bit. What do you guys think?

I did end up getting this one. Search is finally over. To correct my previous posting, odometer was at 33,800. I know not much of a difference, but want to make sure the data point is correct.

SOLD - 2013 200 Series - St. Louis, Missouri: OFF THE MARKET - https://forum.ih8mud.com/threads/2013-200-series-st-louis-missouri-92-xxx-miles-in-immaculate-condition.1293525/#post-14639584

@VWEeplusa, I wanted to respond to the comments made on your thread here so as not to clutter your ad.

I can understand the frustration on both sides.

Allow me to share some perspective from a buyer that's been combing this subforum for many months: I think that all the buyers that frequent the classifieds here are a bit frustrated with how an overwhelming number of the sellers here are loosely motivated and typically bake in a several thousand dollar premium to their asking price. Why else are these ads sitting for weeks with no activity - even months? I'm as much a free market capitalist as they come, but I think there are many sellers here that are overpricing their vehicles for the purpose of making lofty returns from their fellow Mud members in a market that has so obviously softened. This is seen by most as contrast to the MUD community culture. I'm not saying that this describes your situation.

There are several motivated buyers on this board right now that have been in the market for a long time - I think that what's behind the sensitivity. They/I are/am ready to get into a vehicle and we're all weary from the unrealistic, unsuccessful WTB ads that have littered this board over the last several months.
The price is the price. You might find it unrealistic, but these rigs have held their value well. I think it’s really hard to buy a 200 for less than $30k, and yet people float “want to buy” adds in the $20k range all the time. Looking for 3 months and not finding a steal of a buy tells me your price is unrealistic, not the sellers. My .02.

A 2013 white/tan interior with 111K miles got sold for $36495 at a toyota dealer. It is a MS vehicle so no rust.

There’s nothing unrealistic, uninformed or unwise about waiting as prices drop week after week.

Go have a taco and lighten up. We’re all friends here.

What dealer, would love to check them out to see if they ever get a similar priced one 16+ blue and Cabernet.

good luck with your search.

I paid $61.5 OTD at a NH dealership for a 2017 Black Terra with 82k miles yesterday.

1 owner
Stock
No accidents
No rust (the undercarriage was oiled annually)
Immaculate condition inside, including headsets and remote all still bubble wrapped in the glove box
Minor paint imperfections on the bumpers
Full Toyota service history

Found it at Merchants Auto in Hookset, NH after visiting a rusty Gray 2016 with 66,xxx miles in Somerville, MA earlier in the day. I highly recommend Merchants. 90 minutes total for a test drive, negotiation and signing papers. My kind of dealership experience 👍.

Pictures for anyone wondering what a stock Black 2017 200-series looks like:

Didn't want to start a separate thread for this question. Where are the vin numbers on the LC? I know about driver side vin tag on door jamb and font glass cut out. Does each door typically has one?

Yes. And stickers on all the fenders and a frame stamp in the passenger front footwell.

interesting - test driven one few day ago, but it only had vin on the driver door jamb and front windshield. Other 3 doors plus rear door did not have it, couldn't find them on the fenders as well.

And thanks for confirming. I also was able to find photos from LC for sale that clearly has vins on doors and rear door.

edit: but then I found 2013 that doesn't have it 2013 Toyota Land Cruiser - V8 Power, 4WD, Locking Center Differential, Suspension Lift - https://carsandbids.com/auctions/9llEgD8z/2013-toyota-land-cruiser from sold version

Confused...

edit 2: reviewed some more photos, it appears location of VINS on many body parts were phased out by Toyota somewhere after 2010, but I'm not 100%. Many cars I saw after 2011 and newer did not have vins on each doors and possibly other locations that 2008-2009 do.
