Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

I just took the plunge officially today. Paid a bit under sticker for a 3 row HE after scouring the southeast. Worth the fly and drive so far as I'm concerned. By far the most expensive car I've owned, but it is my dream car. I look forward to many years of enjoying it. One dealer I found in state was willing to deal, but they had to back out after realizing Toyota wasn't actually accepting orders for custom builds. Keep up the search!

As mentioned before, they're getting more and more scarce. Some smaller dealers are willing to play ball, others (Maryland, NE area specifically) asking anywhere from $10-$15k over sticker.

Congrats ..

10-15k over sticker is crazy.. i think that 300 will be available 2-3 years down the line and then floood of 200 series in the market .

What do u guys think of this one?
Its 2016 68k miles clean carfax and dealer asking 57k which seems pretty high to me. I checked truck in person, very clean and rides smooth, has AT tires and suspension seems sitting a but higher than stock but sales person had no idea if suspension has been changed. When sales guy brought me price sheet i almost jumped out of my chair, he brought 57k listing to 65k otd. I offered 55k otd and then as usual manager walks in and try to convince me that my truck isnt worth 55k here is kbb retail and blah blah i offered $57k otd not a penny more and he got stuck at $60k. Did i just lowballed them or was that more than enough i offered for the model year and miles?

Their posted price of $57 is a good price right now for a clean TX truck. That assumes they’ll take on a few hundred dollar fee and then you pay taxes and registration. Not sure how they got from advertised 57 to 65??

Well they had $3k mandatory car warranty and $1500 fee to get vehicle sale ready i call both BS fees that alone was $4500. Insane

Was $60K out the door? Since you're in Dallas and the truck is in Weatherford I'm assuming all your OTD quotes include sales tax. And does it include the mandatory warranty? If so I'd probably take that deal--at $60K OTD you're talking about a ~$56,500 sale price before taxes which means they'd essentially be throwing their mandatory $3K warranty in for free

Never heard of a mandatory warranty? Is this a Texas thing?

It's not mandatory in the sense that you're thinking, i.e. it's mandated on every purchase. It's mandatory in the sense that their dealership is refusing to sell the car without you also buying the warranty. They're just trying to take advantage of the current increased demand and force you to buy an incredibly high margin add-on; think of it as what other dealerships are calling "market adjustments" but you at least get something in return.

Yeah otd includes all ttl in price. Im not sure if they still would include that $3k warranty if they do 60k otd we didnt get that far in negotiation. I was basing my estimate off of NADA which had abt $54k for clean retail but they were showing me kbb paper which had $61k for the same.
i was initially in market for new tundra but they are unicorn these days so LC was another option i was looking at. I think i will have to wait few months for prices to be back at reasonable range , post covid everything is inflated and i refuse to buy inflated price either its a car or a house.

It's the new way for dealerships to advertise low prices. A lot of them have fine print on their web sites that the 'Internet Price' does not include tax, title, license, and [legalese for dealer addon/warranty] now. It's mostly private/independent dealerships from what I've seen and they aren't doing themselves any favors shedding the 'stealership' reputation versus big box stores. I went to buy a 4Runner from Ron Carter in Clear Lake, cash purchase. The advertised price was ~ $42K. The settlement sheet they put in front of me was $51K.

A friend of mine was able to get the 4Runner $1500 below MSRP in the Bay Area, very surprising but glad it worked out for him.

Whats everyone's opinion on this 08', $25K with 162K miles on the Odometer, looks like it spent most of its life in Minnesota/Nebraska:
From the pictures it looks really clean and $25k seems very low (assuming it doesn't need anything major). If you can do a PPI then it might be a great buy. Besides obvious rust, I'd check that the KDSS valves aren't rusted shut. I would try to get the records from a Toyota Dealer. I bought my '10 a few years ago from the first owner and received a printout of every service performed since new. You should be able to tell your local Toyota dealer you are looking to purchase the car and provide them the VIN.

2009 LX 570, Silver and Tan. 137k miles. Rust free and with mostly normal wear/tear. Decent maintenance records (2nd owner stopped going to dealer service after ~65k miles, though there are regular maintenance intervals on carfax).

Purchased for 28.5k from a Lexus dealership. Should've bought one LAST summer before the rush 🤦‍♂️ Good news is my 2000 LC w/ 172k will now sell for more than it would've a year ago.

Did you buy the LX? If so, do you mind sharing the purchase price?

I got an $89k offer on my 2021 Blizzard Pearl LCHeritage (third row delete) only 400 miles. (MSRP was $89,635)
Thinking very hard if I should let go. I don't expect it to go for 5-10k over sticker just like what dealers are now asking. What do you think, fellow Mudders?

UPDATE: Sold it for $89k today.
Keeping the mgm HE.
