Bought this for 18k a little over 2 weeks ago. Like many of you, i spent months and looked at thousands all across the country before finding one that was a fit for me. I probably annoyed a few sales reps and wasted a few people's time in the process, sorry!
I waited until now to post because i had a 2-week return period for a refund, and i wanted to make sure i was going to keep her first.
I bought her at 180k, she now has a little over 182k and has not skipped a beat in the short time i have had her. Radiator replaced at 150k, AHC flushed in last 10k, new tires and she has not seen any service outside of a Lexus Dealership. She has been taken into the dealer at ~5k intervals her entire life, and owners went with recommended service the vast majority of the times (given that the car does not need much). The PPI came up with her only needing brakes in the near future. I found some new TRD front pads for $40 bucks on ebay, and am hunting for a good deal on rear pads. For now the brakes are fine though but if she starts squealing i will do pads and see if rotors are still good.
She has been a NJ/PA car her entire life, so i was very surprised to see that the undercarriage has less rust than many NC cars i have seen.
I have not found a single thing on her that does not work, and i tested everything i have found so far. Even had a little fun with the ECT power button yesterday, and really happy that is an option; it helps me cope with not having a manual for that reason. For 2 weeks i tested her as best as i could, expecting to find something wrong because of the price, but now i have nothing but good things to say about this car. My co-worker offered me 20k first night in NC and i immediately turned it down. His offer is now at 25k 2 weeks later, after i let him drive it XD, but i still told him no. He's like family to me so i would never mark up the price, so i told him i would help him look for one. A few other co-workers have stated they want one as their next car as well, so it looks like i will still be on the hunt, but this time not for me.
I couldn't be more happy given the price i paid and feel very lucky to own such an amazing vehicle. Overall i feel that i got very lucky.
I will attach the few pictures i have already resized for mud and lump the other pictures into a google photo album. I plan on building her up to be a capable overland vehicle, so my next step is to start a build thread on here. I am very excited about spending 2020 building her up to the car i used to only dream of having!
