Hi! IF you're willing to share, I thought it might be helpful for the rest of us to better understand what the market prices are for the 200 series (and LX 570 I suppose). I'm personally looking for one, have found a few, and curious what others' purchase prices have been so I can negotiate (or not) properly.

Please share purchase price, year, mileage at purchase, and location (east/west/south, etc...)

Thanks and happy hunting for those also looking.

What do y'all think of the over condition and where is the sweet spot for price (obviously under $30K).

It "needs" a radiator, you can see the crack extending past the right side of the raised stamped area.

Most recent auction comp I found had slightly lower miles (151k) and went for $25,8. If they truly made it look good, I'd assume they'd be wanting close to $34k. It would likely behoove them make it pretty and look to get retail, so you'll be fighting their own cost/benefit.

Reading through the pages in this thread to try and gauge if the cruiser I saw is a good price or not. 2014 single owner with a great maintenance history at the dealer, doesn’t show that the water pump or radiator has been replaced, has 144k miles on it. Dealer is asking $33k.

I think it is a solid price and a great spot to strat negotiations. Maybe you could talk the dealership into replacing the radiator, water pump, thermo, hoses, tensioner, pulley, belt, fan clutch, and PCV as part of the deal or split the costs with them. Also watch the dealer fees, they can range anywhere from $200-800.

Proud new owner?

I found a 2011 gray metallic with 139K miles and they are asking $28,900. It looks like it's in excellent shape and one owner. What would be a good value on this?

I think it is a fair starting price. Not knowing location, I would be concerned with rust, accident history, and if the radiator and water pump have been replaced. And don’t forget about dealer fees if applicable.

Do the water pump and radiator need to be replaced around 100K +? What does it normally cost to have that service done? It has no accidents and is rust free according to the dealer (I will check )What are the thoughts on the mileage? can I get another 150K out of it?

Thanks

I do not believe there is a set schedule for the water pump and radiator replacement, some go 50k others go 150K, but eventually they will both need to be replaced if the truck has the originals. If you can get a picture of the square stamped raised area on top of the radiator, we might be able to determine if it has been replaced or if the classic hairline crack already exists. Other members recommend replacing the radiator, water pump, thermo, hoses, tensioner, pulley, belt, fan clutch, and PCV all at the same time. Last time I got a quote for a 200, a local the dealership quoted me $2500. If you can turn your own wrenches, you can save a bundle as the parts run b/t $500-1000 depending on your willingness to shop around. In any case, a well maintained 200 will easily go 300k miles!

ok, thanks! This vehicle does have a reported accident on the carfax report so I'll pass on this one. I'll keep looking.

agreed..defective part is the 4WD actuator that moves the Land Cruiser from High to Low. Is this was fixed any concerns with the system?

Time to do my part. I referenced this price thread for months before buying my 200. Bought a Silver 2013 TLC with 89k miles 2 weeks ago from a Toyota dealer near Charlotte. Paid $40,500 plus TTT. Truck was a CA & NC truck. No rust whatsoever and the KDSS valves opened easily first try. I was very happy with this site unseen purchase when it arrived in South Florida. I was back and forth between LX's & TLC's and I finally found the exact combo I was looking for when I started my search.

Need help please. I'm considering a 2019 LC with 2K miles. It has an Icon Vehicle Dynamics 2" suspension system and BF Goodrich All Terrain KO II 305/65r18. The seller claims the cost for the lift and tires was approximately $5,700.

First, what would be considered a fair price/good buy for this truck? I'm taking into consideration that a new 2020 can be purchased from Eric Sarjeant in Indiana at very little over invoice (thanks to this site for that tip).

I'm not very familiar with the ins and outs of mods and am not planning on taking this off road. It would be my every day ride. I just really like the look of a slight lift with a bit more stout tires. Having said that, I do have concerns about any issues the lift could cause, in addition to how that could affect the warranty.

Is this a quality lift? What things do I need to think about and what questions should I ask?

Any thoughts on the mods and the price would be very much appreciated. I'm grateful to have a resource like this to go to before such a large purchase.

Thanks in advance!

Thank you to everyone that has contributed to this thread, it helped me understand a good deal when I spotted it. I just purchased a 2018 with 16K miles. OME Lifted, Total Chaos UCA, mud flaps, SCS wheels and better tires, ARB front and rear with a Warn Platinum, Dual Battery, Spod (8) circuit, IBS battery management, underbody rust protection, High lift jack, Rigid lighting, (8) year extended warranty and (7) year service contract. I paid $70,000.00 but I did do a coast to coast trip to retrieve it with my wife. Great vacation and I feel like it was a good deal.
