Let’s try this again, prior thread deleted, I assume they want to keep it clean, there was no explation given.

If you have sold a 100 series recently and want to share what you paid with details on truck this will be helpful for potential buyers currently looking.

This thread can be helpful for buyers looking to understand the market and different factors that come into play on pricing.

Please stay on topic!

I recently sold 2004 LX with 176k for 12,500. Truck was 9/10 on condition with full service records. Southern Vehicle no rust.

No pictures, but trying to come up with a reasonable price for a 2001 lx470 with 120k miles. Two owner California car it's entire life. Has never gone offroad, though has been driven in the snow. Interior and exterior are very clean, I'd say both are 9/10 if not 10/10.
$15-18k

I like 15. And I’m sure the inside and outside are not really 9 and 10/10
Family friend owns it. It is VERY well cared for. Was a road trip vehicle for the first owner who was an older lady. If you maintain the leather it will last and not look beat up. That an no kids/food and washing immediately after long trips or any snow helps a ton.

That’s rare!! Most people selling 9/10 interiors are realistically like 6/10.

If rust free it is a high teens truck all day long. May be over 20k if really slick.

Hi guys, I'm new to the forum and also to the LC/LX game. I do not know pricing at all, my neighbor has an '02 LX 470 which I love so I am looking for similar, he put me onto the ih8mud game. I have found one that is in excellent shape. Here are the details, I am curious if this price is too high? My apologies if this post is in the wrong place or gives everyone notifications, I do not mean to be a hassle on here. Please let me know if so. Thank you all.

-2002 Lexus LX 470
-Mileage 144,935
-Being sold from a small certified dealer
-Price has been set at $16,380
-Exterior and Interior are in excellent shape, looks really sharp
-Mechanically I would think is good, I do not have those details yet
-I've noticed a lot of posts about rust. The under is in good shape, just a little/minimal rust, has been Virginia-owned forever
Super fare price. Some even prefer the pre-03 models because it's easier to add an aftermarket audio system. I'd jump on it.

Thoughts on a price for an ‘04 Black LC with 248k miles? Exterior/Interior good shape, owner has maintenance records. They have it listed for 19.5k but that seems a little high? Any insight is greatly appreciated!

Sold my 07 with 168k miles, surface rust underneath, clean interior, few chips in paint, good mechanical condition for 20k. I did do the headlight upgrade with new lenses and HID's, otherwise stock, except 1" spacers and KO2's.

Jumped over into a 200 series.

Hope that helps.

That price seems quite high for that mileage - unless it's absolutely perfect inside and out, no rust on frame/ bottom, and they have a stack of records from a Toyota dealer or qualified Japanese repair shop and it needs no current repairs/ maintenance (i.e. timing belt has been done, etc).

Without seeing it, sounds like more of a $13-$15k truck if all of the above isn't true. Especially since I see you're in the South (prices tend to be higher out West). The market is a bit crazy right now, but there still plenty of fair deals out there (and of course some here on Mud....).....HTH

Looking to sell my ‘04 LX with 114k miles. Southern car, extensive service history, no rust, overall excellent condition. Bone stock. I’m debating to take a decent offer I already have or wait and try to get more out of it. Thoughts on what I can expect? I feel like I’ve seen similar going for $25+

Wow 😳

That’s crazy mileage, not sure they’ll get 17k though.

What do you all think about the value of a 2005 LX with 170K miles? black, very clean, no rust, very good service history. Private seller is asking $32.5K. Probably has $5-7K worth of aftermarket add-ons: winch, 33" tires, front bumper, suspension upgrades, etc... Been on the market 3 weeks. I can't imagine he's getting $32K from anyone although Kings Chariot is near this LX and they are asking $30-35K for similar LXs.

You can get an stock LC/LX in equivalent condition (minus the mods) for under 20 easily. That gives you 12k to chart your own course. I would pass.

Evening! First time posting here. I’m looking for my first Land cruiser and I have to stay under 20k. Ultimately I’m looking for a lower mileage 05-07. But I found a 2001 LC with 178k miles, clean car fax with Toyota only service history. One owner California vehicle. The auto broker is asking 17,900. Thoughts?

Hard to say without service history, ownership history, rust issues, overall condition, etc.

I can't imagine paying $18k for a vehicle that's over halfway to a million miles.
Agreed.

With patience there's some fair deals out there -fwiw, last month I paid $18k for a '99 with 58K miles in SoCal - it belonged to the seller's father who'd recently passed on. Paint is sunburned (dash is too), but otherwise all dealer maintained. Seemed like a fair price, given the current market insanity. Changed out the heater T's and hoses, threw on a dash mat and now have to decide whether to give it to the wife (requires a paint correction) or use it myself for Baja expeditions...
