Not necessarily the best but the one you will never forget and why it gets your #1 rating.

Mine is a midnight movie classic, viewed at a very young age. Not for anyone with a weak heart, narrow minded, weak stomach or pussies. Guaranteed you will see things never seen before (unless you are very perverted) and never forget it.

Pink Flamingos - Comedy (If you are sick) Drama

The normal response from anyone that has seen it in the past is O' My .........

The original was released in 1972 and later released with NC-17 rating and obviously many cuts were made to get this rating. Never seen the release but the original was unforgettable.

Toss-up between The Sound of Music and The Rocky Horror Picture Show.

I saw the original release of the SOM in a theater at a young age with my folks.

Several months later we inadvertantly recreated the final scene when the family hiked all night to escape. My dad had gotton stuck in a desert wash in New Mexico, and after burying the two wheel drive van in the sand up to the body we eventually had to walk back 15 miles to town in the dark.

The hike seemed endless to me but that trip taught me to never travel without plenty of food and water.

The RHPS for obvious reasons:)

Caddyshack. Comedic awesomeness. I probably could recite the entire movie line for line in college, now... Just every other line.

Phil, that movie absolutely creeped me out. Like in a white van near a playground kinda way. Ewwwwww.

Shawshank Redemption, Amelie, Requiem for a Dream, Primer, What Dreams May Come, IP Man, Pans Labyrinth etc...

Ben Hur - the first film I was allowed to watch in a movie theater with my father accompanying

Some really good classics listed to put on the short list to watch again.;)

Another for me is Pulp Fiction - Seen it several times and always pick up something missed previously. Some of the best scenes and lines....

That's a tough question. To cover the point of the post I have to say Superman (original). It was the first movie I saw in a theater as a kid. Saw it when it first came out in our hometown theater in tiny town No. Dak. Other noteables: Shawshank. Saving Private Ryan. The Jerk. Star Wars (original trilogy). Bourne series. Animal House.

The original sttar wars when it came out at the orginal Cine Capri which was like nothing else at the time in terms of high quality sight and sound.

A lot of better movies since then but tHis young kid was wowed

Worst was Eraserhead. Id rather spen the 90 minutes being waterboarded

I think one of my most memorable movies I've seen in theater was Mama Mia!

memorable because of what we did all night after leaving the theater.

Dances With Wolves was a pretty memorable movie for me too. That was before the exact same storyline got played out again in Last Samurai and Avatar.

DWW also predated my acute awareness that all Kevin Costner movies involve a silent moment with him staring off into space, ...just thinking.

Movies are like Ruffles ...
1) Idiocracy - too close to my sentiment
2) Galaxy Quest - what I had to watch after #1 to cheer myself up
3) Kill Bill 1 & 2 or Dusk to Dawn - everyone needs a Tarantino favorite ...

American Grafitti - Milners bad ass 32 and that time in history
Vanishing Point - Saw it at the Drive-In and even the Dads in the family station wagons were so pumped up, they were leaving rubber all over
I know you said the most memorable, thats just impossible.
