Drove past this stretch for decades. This morning car cut me off, and while doing the head swivel WTF reaction I noticed this "beauty". On way home pretended to look at the Chevy for sale at driveway entrance, texted the owner "hey, I stopped to look at the Chevy, but noticed the Toyota, don't shoot, just gonna take some pics."

FWIW

Roof rack, ... if any of you guys still run such a canoe rack, I have some parts I will give you. Send a PM.

Rifle mount.

I'm sure your right looking with that in mind. I lived in Flagstaff during the 1970s, most pickups had the rifle rack behind the seat over the window. Most even had at least one rifle. Plus saddlemen seat covers. While I no longer live in Flagstaff I still visit there as well and smaller communities in the area. Can't remember the last time I've seen a rifle mounted inside a vehicle. This one is mostly a 66 or 67 and rifle mount probably been there going back about as long. Maybe different in ID and MT but today I would never leave an exposed gun in a vehicle anywhere in AZ.

Is this the one on the road to Gooding? I saw one that looked similar last year as I was driving past and stopped to admire.

Boise County plates FWTW

I use to bird hunt out by Sweet and Ola area.
I still do, ... or did until last year's fire. Will hit it again this year to see what survived.

Would that be Garden Valley, ... not "Garden City"?

Back in the late '70s, I took a job with the Park Service at Grand Teton. Couldn't take those knuckleheads, so I quit and headed out with all my belongings in the '72 '40, including two long guns in the side window gun rack. Park "police" had a fit when they saw that in the main office parking lot as I signed my papers. Confirmed my decision to skedaddle.

So I'm on my way back up to Moscow for a job interview. Its o-dark 30 and I get pulled over at the top of Lewiston grade. I'm in a VW station wagon with the wolf dog pups in a cardboard box on the passenger seat. In the back seat is my paper work and my shoulder holster for my S&W 29. Soon I have like 3 highway patrol and 2 county deputies. They ask me if its loaded, yes is yours? They take it away. A few minutes later they bring it back and hand me the bullets - we don't put them back in - that's ok I know how. Good luck with the job interview - thank you have a nice day.

Garden City, off Hill Road. The old Hill Road before the new parkway was built which also is another driveway to this lawn find, but it's a blind high speed right turn. But entering on Old Hill Road means driving down their driveway to the lower lawn.

Now I gotta' go look!
