From this weekend:

Went up to Jerome for some lunch with friends, and we parked right in front on a white 60, with the front emblem missing. Saw him driving it later too, young guy. BTW, got some loverly snow up there!

Of course, there's always that dark grey 40 up there, that's just rotting away. :crybaby:

Also, a kinda institution-green (you know, that pale, minty color?) colored 40 outside of the Ace in Sedona. I've seen him around town a few times.

And from a few weeks back ... two tan 40s in the Village of Oak Creek. One was at the construction site across from Tequa, and one was at the Coyote Station Shell. And, on the same day, there was a faded red 40 in West Sedona.

I also chatted with a guy at the Brewery who owns an 80 in Sedona .. "Sir Moves A Lot". Uses it to haul stuff (with a trailer) for folks. But he's selling it. I told him to post it here, but I don't think he ever did.

There was another Brewery regular who had a red 60, but he sold his too. :frown:

I did my first MUD-marketing at Wal-Mart in Cottonwood. I happened to park right across from a shiny white 62. Thought maybe it was that guy who usually waves, so I left a note on the windshield to visit here. But I think it was actually another, older guy, who owns "Sound Investments". There's even a THIRD white 62 in town, someone who teaches at American Heritage Academy.

I also saw RUSH at the gas station recently, but was a little too harried / hurried to say "hi" before he left.

It's Cruiserville, man!

I met Phil a while back. Since then my wife and a good friend of mine have both told me of sighting a kickass black lifted outfitted 80 at different times. I never mentioned his ride to them, and they never mentioned seeing Cruisers before, I thought it odd.

Got you all beat, a blue FJ Cruiser followed me most of the way into work this morning, good looking truck. Got the Cruiser wave from the driver, or maybe it was the get away from me you freak wave?:D

I've been seeing a tan 40 with a hardtop at that little church type builting across from the HighSchool on Fir lately, and saw it drivin around town a few times. That gray 60 series near the Elks Lodge in Clarkdale moves around too. It looked like the guy was hauling huge branches on the roofrack recently.

I always see a Silver with blue molding 80 series parked in the Safeway or Blockbuster parking lots too.

I saw my Cruiser twin (dark grey 62) at the Oak Creek Brewery on Friday night. Asked everyone around if it was theirs. They probably thought I was nuts.

Actually, I think the guy who owned it talked to me about karate, but I didn't think to ask him about the 62 until he was already gone. Oh well.

Did you see all the 80 series ' for sale at the little used car lots in Cottonwood?

I swear I drove out to Clarkdale the other day, and between seeing them driving, and passing those car lots, there were at least 20 I passed. Seems every little lot has at least one 80, most are white, 1 was gold, then a bunch of green & black.

Sure did! An 81 I think.

I pass two 80 series on the way to work in Camp Verde every day. They're driven by some soccer moms. So I don't bother to wave.

I keep seeing that soul-patched young guy with the white 62 around town. He's always jammin to his radio (like I do), and always waves. I never see him parked though, so I can't give him the mud-lowdown.

I hope to get my CSC membership soon, so at least I'll have that sticker for advertisement.

lol
I drive my X around and see modded Cruisers everywhere, and I know the people I know whom drive them, but I'm not sure about the rest of ya';) .. Soo, I wonder what some folks must be thinking as the guy in the monster yellow Xterra driving alongside, or up to, stares 'em down with a smile or nods like he knows something..
:)
It was prolly something like that-
maybe it was the get away from me you freak wave?:D

Did you send in your application???
It's been filled out and neatly folded in my lil backpack since the end of January. :o

Sad, when money's so tight, $24 is an issue. But I just got a raise, so it should be soon -- once I pay for my fillings and brakes. :D

I'm actually thinking of waiting until we move to Surprise, then I can just hand it to you at Sonic.

LOL! Tough to be the X guy in an LC world, I bet.

BTW, Pho Bang is on my list places to try when I get down there.

C'mon down! I'm at Reems and Bell, and there're plenty of good wheeling people here too:)

DBAx is good peeps and a adventurous wheeler :D

See ya Saturday~ Are you cooking?

Saturday night, sure. You got any requests? Lee should be with us too so, I dunno'? Maybe a pot of Jambalaya? You tell me..

Sweet! We were pretty much set on Surprise, after touring around there on Saturday. But now it looks like Avondale is an option too. If we end up in Surprise, it's nice to know we'll have at least one cool neighbor. :)

The folks at GF's job pissed her off, so she quit and is heading down there earlier than expected -- Monday -- instead on May 1. :frown: As soon as our house sells, I'll be on my way!

Having more thoughts about selling the Cruiser -- It's just not commuter-ready yet, and I don't have the money to make it so. Please help me keep them at bay! :crybaby:

See ya Rush!

I was hoping to do a Cottonwood Sonic meet, but I'm not sure I'm going to have time before I go. :frown:

I had a phone interview yesterday, and an in-person follow up interview next Friday (wish me luck, driving down to PHX and back in the 62, with no cellphone!). If I get the job, they want me there SOON.

Can't go until the house sells though, unless ... they offer some relocation $$$. We'll see. That is, if I even get the job!

I'm getting ahead of myself.:o
