I posted in the trails/expedition forum but didn't get any response. I am headed to Moab tomorrow morning with a stop in Monument Valley. Any suggestions on trails around Monument Valley. I will be in Moab for two days and also need suggestions on a 100 friendly trail that isn't crazy technical but will still provide some fun driving and scenic views. I don't have bumpers or sliders and only the center lock diff. So that should provide some basis for technical level. I have 2.5" lift and 295's. I know its a bit off topic for here but any suggestions would be greatly appreciated as I plan this trip VERY last second. After Moab I head to Bryce Canyon hopefully via some back country roads.

Valley of the Gods is just northeast off of highway 163.

You might also try Butler Wash or Comb Ridge if you want to stay off the beaten path.

Neither are technical at all but lots of options are available off either trail.

Or try Beef Basin as you go north towards Moab.

Hurrah Pass is another easy Moab suggestion. There are some caves at the bottom near the CO river. Small but fun for kids to explore bring headlamps. Onion Creek is cool too. again easy.

Fins-n-Things in Moab, it'll give you the flavor of the slickrock without being too crazy.

X2 definite favorite

Beef basin had a lot of snow when we went in November

Don't get off the road in MValley...All native American land...there is some pretty neat stuff there but realize you are on your own if something should happen...

Moab,
Bull Canyon, Gemmni Bridges
Hurrah Pass
Onion Creek
Willow springs road
Long Canyon

It supposed to be close to 50 there:)

Go to Blanding, take right at the Sinclair gas station (that's rt. 95).

Then go up through the ComB Ridge anticline and come out the other side. You will see the camp ground to your right. Directly across from it will be the entrance to Arch Canyon. Go do Arch Canyon for two days. Camp at the end and come back out to 95.

Make a right. Keep going west till you get to Rainbow Bridges entrance. Make a right. Head into the mountain in front of you with the two big outcroppings facing you...those are the Bears Ears. Keep climbing that road. See how far you can get. That is Elk Ridge. You can spend days up there as long as the snow is not deep. I was there a week ago and it wasn't deep at all.

Come back out...either in Monticello or back out the way you came. Go back down to Comb Ridge and you can take either side of Comb Ridge and there is Butler Wash on the east side and Comb Ridge rd on the west side. Either one will give at least another day of fun if you get out of your rig and hike/walk.

Have fun.
